About Last Night....
WOW!!! I mean what else can I say...this past weekend was spectacular and a magic moment for JR and I and all of the corporate team. It's like the Christmas, you get so excited and it takes so much preparation before everyone comes in to town, you love seeing your family even though it's a lot of work, and of course, you are always somewhat sad when everyone leaves:)...but then you realize its time to get back to work!!! It's time to get busy...there was so much incredible energy, information and new friendships being formed...so much happening in one place. The world must think we are all nuts, but in my opinion, the world needs more people like all of us. I love the way it makes me feel to meet new people and see old faces. I love what takes place in between the sessions, upstairs and in the concourse. I always make an effort to go up there and talk to as many people as I can, because I get to meet so many new people and hear some beautiful stories. Everyone who participated was incredible, most importantly YOU. Thank you for making us feel so special. We love all of you and feel your love and appreciate and thank god for it every single day. Last night we celebrated the success of the weekend by having the team on the boat as well as Paulina Rubio. (she was incredible on stage:) We had so much fun, even though I was so delirioulsy tired. She was so happy and thrilled to perform for you. She had a blast because of you. I had plans to stop by Nikki Beach with JR to say hello to everyone, but even though my heart my there, my body wouldn't cooperate and I needed to sleep. I woke up this morning, thinking it was Saturday and jumped out of bed, took a shower, only to kick myself when I realized it was Sunday:) (have you ever done that?) Then it was too hard to go back to sleep, so here I am sending you a message before I crash hard tonight. Tommorrow we are leaving for Costa Rica for 2 days. Alejandro Sanz won the grammy tonight for Best Pop Album, and we are going to celebrate with him there and see his last concert on his tour. Costa Rica is a beautiful place, the people are so amazing...They dont have much, but whatever they have, they are happy. That makes me happy. I love that they have the pacific and the carribean sea as well as the rain forest, and volcanoes. It is a spectacular country. I will pack light... jeans (Genetic, of course) and a t-shirt for the show...my MBT tennis shoes for walking in the rain forest. Remember the Genetic jeans will be on the portal this week and they have so many styles to choose from. You'll love them and you will buy them for less at marketamerica.com than ANYWHERE ELSE. Although it will be a fast trip and I am in need of some rest, you have to be there for your friends, afterall, he came for us this past weekend. I will come home on Wednesday and get busy with GOOGLE on our new search program. I can't wait. Shopping will be easier than ever. You will be able to find all the things you love and compare prices. I like that. Life is complicated sometimes, lets keep this one simple. Well it's bed time now, and JR is sound asleep. I am going to snuggle with my husband and get ready for our fast, and beautiful trip. I will give you guys some great information on some cool ideas for shopping this week, and some incredible deals, just as soon as I return. In Costa Rica, the people are so happy as I said, that they have a tradition. Every day instead of saying hello or hi, they say pura vida which mean PURE LIFE. So until tommorrow...
Pura Vida and much love,
Loren

Loren,
I love your new site; it's insiteful and fun. Thank you for sharing even more of yourself with us. Leadership weekend was the best from the gorgious Miami weather to the amazing vision of JR, yourself, corporate and the 60,000 UFO's who filled the AA Arena. I am new in the business and "I Believe". I am involved in MA for myself, my family and those who don't yet know how powerful life can be until you jump in with both feet and live fully.

With all you do it's so great that you took the time to post, Lauren. You are such an inspiration! Thanks for your commitment to making sure we have the ultimate shopping experience by utilizing technology to the max! Your determination (and JR's support) gave us top notch tools and not only caused MA to jump forward to being a world-class company in the last two years but to be a leader in global commerce. Sky's the limit!

Loren, Since you said this is an open forum at Leadership, I will tell you about my experience w/ the MBT sneakers. I had purchased them through the Bliss catalog several years ago and was walking one day on newly paved road.
There was some loose gravel and it made me slide, fall and sprain my ankle. Because this sneakers are up higher due to the wedge, the twist and sprain was much worse than it would have been w/ a regular height sneaker. I called Bliss, explained the situation, sent the sneakers back and got a full refund of $249. Bottom line is be very careful using them. I wouldn't use them again.

sorry, you had that experience with the shoes... I have had a broken foot 2 times so I understand the pain... However, I think when used carefully and generally they are great for extra protection, they are perfectly safe... I mean you could trip, wearing tennis shoes or heels... it is all the same... a break or twist hurts, especially since you slipped on gravel. you would have had the same result in heels or any shoes... but you sure will love what they do for you. Be careful and enjoy walking...xoxo

And in all fairness to the manufacturer, it was pretty cool that they were willing to refund your $250 when they didn't have to.
It stinks that you were injured, but slipping on gravel doesn't automatically mean that the shoes were faulty.

Thanks for the speedy reply about the MBTs. And yes, Andrew, it was great of Bliss to refund me--a cost they surely passed on to MBT. One other quick comment/request (for now). My partners and I are big Costco shoppers and would love to see them as a partner. Any chance they'll come on board any time soon? Dara

When I'm having a busy day and don't feel like I can do anymore, I will think of you guys and all the effort you have put forth for us. I am truely touched by the values and down to earth approach that you and JR possess. It makes me very proud to say that I am part of MarketAmerica.com - a company with heart, compassion, and honest to goodness love for their distributors. Thank you...

Hi JR and Loren, wow! What can we say? We had the best time and our team is as excited as ever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you do to create more and better possibilities for all of us to grow our business. As an aside my husband, Howard Solis, is from COSTA RICA and we were thrilled to hear you were going there. My name is Linda Swanger-Solis and I've been with the company for 10 years under Roy Gingrich. We want to bring MA to Costa Rica once we hit Professional or higher. You can count on us to be your trainers there. So we hope MA will consider opening there soon in CR. It's a great Latin American market for MA. Have fun, relax and we'll see you again soon. Pura Vida, Tuanis we love you all. Gracias.

A few questions for you. What do you think about coming out with some MA gear like polos and t-shirts that have marketamerica.com powered by google on them? Also, how about putting out another power point presentation of the business plan with screen shots of ma myworld, ma chatterbox, the google partnership and include otehr press releases and more on it? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks,

A big "Thank You" from Canada! I hope you know that you are an inspiration, not just to anybody, but especially to the women out there who are looking to be empowered. This weekend was incredible, but most important of all, we got to get to work with the new tools the corporate team has given us.
P.S. How do we get new partner stores added to the Canadian list?!!? I must say we're a tad jealous of the US list!

Excellent week!! My wife and I weren't in Market America during last international but our upline made sure we heard all about it so...we made it to Miami! We were out there at 6:30 every morning to make sure we got the seats we wanted each day even sitting behind the stage on Saturday shaking everyone's hand as they came up to the stage. While being out there early was a chore, it was also so nice networking with distributors from all over. You, JR, and the Corporate team make everyone feel as if they are a part of your immediate family. (My wife went around telling our friends how many times she got to say hello and shake your hand.) We are building strong this year. Instead of being behind the stage, we will soon be on it! We appreciate the vision, where the company is going, and look forward to spending many more days in a much warmer, sunnier climate than here in New York.

Miami was great. Thank you guys! Can we talk about the name "MA Chatterbox," though? You guys are so cool, and the site will be, too -- but the name is pretty terrible.
And isn't "chatter" the word they use for terrorist activity on the web? And isn't "chatterbox" a put-down when someone is too talkative? I just think we can do better.
Terrific idea. Looking forward to seeing it live -- just with a cooler name.

The convention was incredible! Under a new partnership with Google, Market America's already strong credibility went up several notches.
Having the belief of a partner like Google means the last excuses to avoid bringing up this amazing business with others has evaporated.
No other business is working so hard to help everyday people find success.
I see a bright future for Market America and all of us Unfranchise Owners!

Loren, I would like to say that this past weekend in Miami was an incredible experience! My first trip and I have not stopped thinking, dreaming, talking about all of it and MA! This has opened up my eyes even further and I am extremely impressed by the presentation you and Marc gave for the partnering with Google. I could feel your energy, enthusiasm, and excitement to share it with all of us. What a weekend! JR and everyone spoke with such heartfelt commitment and passion to all of us like close friends and family. I feel honored to be a part of MA and will embrace and commit with passion to make this opportunity a success, to duplicate myself to others. We are starting a 90day fast track in the next few weeks and are having a coring this weekend to share with all who did not make it to Miami. Again thank you for all that you and JR are doing to make a lot of dreams possible and for giving everyone the opportunity to gain financial freedom as well as precious time back into our lives. Thank you and God Bless

Hi Loren,
Can you to apologize to JR for me for something that I did during JR’s seminar speech or seminar on Thursday. When he was telling his story about how he had to sell 300 hundred ticket’s for a meeting and at one point he got very emotional and perhaps let out a tear! I just started to laugh thinking to my self, “where am I? at some evangelist sermon?” what a joke this is! He is really trying to sell this bulls*&t”
I can tell you that By Saturday, I was the one crying. When I saw Google and Kimora and all the other Portal things that are in the works, I said to myself, “ I think MarketAmerica is for real”
Being an IT guy myself, I see the value in what you are doing now. I’m glad that my Chinese friends dragged me kicking and screaming down to this convention, for me to see first hand the marketamerica dream. I can tell you that on my drive back to New Jersey, that took about 20 hours!
I practically signed up 5 GO NOW distributors that are going to sign on 500 more distributors in the next 18 months.. This is the best way that I know how to apologize to JR.
I plan to be on stage during a National convention to personally apologize JR when I make Director. JR, Via com dues like we say in Portugal

Leadership School was phenomenal. It was my fist time attending and I can say "IT CHANGED MY LIFE". I know that sounds corny, but it did.
It gave my so much inspiration and empowerment to go out and do this business to the max. Thanks to JR, Loren and the entire MA team.

Hi Loren,
Just wanted to send a huge Thank You out to you for everything you do for all ma distributors and of course our customers. My name is Amanda and I live in NH. I am only 20 years old and started my ma business 2 years ago right after turning 18. I am an Executive Coordinator, but with the determination to raise a few pin levels within the next year. This past leadership school was AMAZING. This was my third one and I swear they get better and better every year, and of course we all have you and JR to thank for that.
It is so great to think about the great opportunity that you and JR have given so many people, especially my generation. Well anyhow- just wanted to send a big Hi and of course a Thank you. Take care and I'll see you in Greensboro ;)

Loren -
I'm at my 40 hr/week JOB so I have to get right to the point. Leadership was incredible - partnering with Google is phenomenal. I think Google on a shirt with MA is great - however, I really don't like the "powered by Google" phrase. "Powered by People" is what we are and that is an amazing and POWERFUL statement that shouldn't be weakened by saying we're "powered by Google". I hope you can create another phrase to describe the amazing partnership with Google without stealing the fire from "Powered by People." That phrase has impressed and been positively commented on by most of my prospects to date, and I would like to see it keep its clout.
Thank you and my senior partner for giving me this gift - soon the JOB will be a thing of the past.

Loren,
When I read your post note regarding how tired you were and realizing it was Sunday, you went back to bed for more rest. I am very disappointed in you and JR for not having time to experience "worship" with some community of your faith choosing. How thankful are you for what you have? I belong to Myers Park United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC and could help you direct some of your fortune to people much less fortunate. Our mission program is something else!
Those of us that have are called on to help those that don't!

Hi LMS, I went back to bed at 7:00 am after realizing it was Sunday and I will not apologize for that. Even though if you read, I had a hard time going back to bed anyway. I think I deserve to sleep after working my butt off and giving so much energy to the cause I love. Afterall, everyone needs sleep. And also, thanks for the offer, I direct alot of our good fortune to over 20 major causes a year to the tune in the high 6 digit figures. To be honest with you, I give as much of my time to great causes as I do money because I feel good about it and love to do it. I actually was quite offended by your email and don't know why I would even justify it. However, because I believe you should be able to post on here whatever you like, just like I will post my very HONEST answer to you, so here it is. JR and I are very grateful for everything we have and we do worship and quite honestly the day we do it and where, is not something we discuss in our business. Thanks for your comments.
