Yesterday was long! I love that, cause anytime I can get time to slow down...that works for me:) I tried most of the day to get into the groove and work on my welcome speech for Leadership School, somehow yesterday was not the creative day I had scheduled in my mind or in my calender. I will try again today. Last night I made JR,, Andrew and Nicole come with me to a few clothing boutique openings in Miami. Its not so bad, I show up for pictures and champagne and you get to look at some incredible new collections and then I tell them to offer their things on marketamerica.com so everyone can benefit. Its a win-win and I get to buy the things I love but thru ma.com, which somehow makes JR feel better about what I am spending:) JR and I took a great bike ride yesterday morning, and he is right, unless you take the time first thing, you never make time for exercise, because the whole day creeps up on you in a second and before you know it, you have to move onto other obligations. It feels great to ride, its less stessful on the joints and it really is a great overall workout....and you don't have that feeling with you the whole time that you are working out, like "when is this over"? Plus, I ride with my MBT shoes which I swear reduces cellulite so drastically and trims your tummy that you don't even care at all that they look a little strange... Andrew always laughs at them, and Amber well, I wont even tell you what she says....but I love them...You will notice an amazing difference and fast...and they have incredible studies behind them for helping with all types of pain and injuries. I dont get paid any money for saying all these wonderful things or wearing these shoes, but you will, because when I purchased them, I paid the full price of $250.00, and they weren't on our portal yet, but now they are thru sierra trading post and GET THIS... they are $100.00 less than everywhere else...Sierra sells them for $149.99 and you get paid back for them as well. I didn't say they were cheap, but considering what I paid...thats a deal...and you may not like how they look on you, but you will love how they make your legs and tush look...
until later...
xox, Loren

Wow! Great ideas. What an awesome idea!
Can you help us with our fashion problems? I am 54, in great shape, mother of the bride (bride wearing formal WHITE dress, bridesmaids wearing black with garnet ribbon). I do NOT wear garnet or reds. Wedding in WI in October.
I know you don't have time for this so I will continue to read every word for advice. THANKS!

Wow! I am going to get those cellulite tennis shoes. For that cellulite, I am really reducing my coffee and upping my Market America greens and green tea for that warm drink. I live in a cold climate... getting my body alkaline is really getting rid of that cellulite... I think the fat was trying to protect me for all the acid in the coffee... yuk! Deb

Hi anonymous! (whats your name) Are you wearing black as well? If so it is completly appropriate for you to wear a white ribbon around your black dress as you are the mother of the bride. It will add a sense of hollywood chic and look very beautiful..If you are not wearing black, what about an incredible white ruffled blouse and long, to the floor, black skirt with a gorgeous gold or silver belt...that would be gorgeous with the entire wedding party..I will try to find you some pictures...xo Loren

Lauren, I have a 10 year old that loves to shop for clothes. Our challenge is that she is a Big Beautiful Girl(BBG). We have found age appropriate clothes at Limited, too...and she loves the attention she gets there...personal assistant...that was cool! With the obesity epidemic in the US, you would think that there would be more to choose from for kids that want to wear the same fashion as the skinny girls. OK, we all know they need to lose...do they have to be nerdly in the mean time?

An incredible business woman embracing her fashion side, and sharing with the rest of us, I love it! As a full time mom newly embarking on the business journey, I believe fashion is the fun side of life, at any age. I look forward to hearing your speech in Miami, As I will be one of the attendees.
I am curious about these sneakers, thanks for the heads up, I'll check them out. And I was thinking the same for "anonymous" and ypur wedding day fashion dilema. White on black with a catchy belt would look great. Accentuate that great shape!

Well, as soon as I read "tight tush" I was all over the MBT shoes from Sierra. One problem...they only have them in one size and it's equivalent to size 6. I am an 8 1/2. It appears they only carry discontinued items. Do you know of anywhere else we can get them? Could you pursuade them to carry more sizes? I love the idea! This is going to be great. Gives us more reasons to shop from our portals and excellent ideas for our friends & family too! I can't wait....my fashion "cents" is manifesting right along side my BV banks! WAY TO GO GIRL!

Hi Lauren. Thanks for the quick response. I did see other styles, but they don't appear to be designed for the same type of reason....tight tush! I did however send my girlfriend to the site to get them right away. She (size 6) is the wife of Hall of Fame hockey player Phil Housley (not to mention book writer and radio & television personality)! She is thrilled to use my portal. I also told her about shopbop and bluesky. This will save many women tons of time surfing for quality chick gear! I'll be anxious to get the shoes soon! In the meantime, I'm heading to Bikram yoga to do 90 minutes in 110 degree heat...that will tighten the tush too! See you in Miami!

This is an amazing idea. I've been an athlete for most of my life, so my daily outfit for many years consisted of sweats and t-shirts. Since starting with MA, that has since improved, but I still need a little help sometimes :). I love that you are giving us ideas where we can get money back by buying from ourselves. The only issue for me is that I live in Canada, and the stores that you've mentioned are not available on the Canadian portals. Do you know if any of the Canadain retailers that we have, has these shoes?

    Hey Loren,
Actually, she is my grandaughter, but she has been with me since the day she was born! I became a single mom at age 45. A surprise, but, what a gift!!! As for her size, I think she is an 18 Limited, too kids size. She is about a 7 in women's sizing.

Loren-- Our 23yr old daughter is a hostess at a fine restaurant here in Seattle, and she and all the waitstaff have been MBT shoe wearers (despite their looks) for months. She swears by how they help her lower back and legs, and says anyone who spends major time on their feet should look into them. Gretchen looked around Christmastime for size 10 or 11 MBT's - no luck in the mall stores, so great to hear that Sierra and other MA partner stores are a source.

    Hi Debra,

This is the first time that I have been on a Blog - I read your comment about your grand daugther - and it reminded me of being a plus size child and teen growing up and how much I hated going shopping. Back then the fashions were nothing but polyester and UGLY , now a-days things have gotten a little better - I have seen some really cute plus size Girl fashions on line at Lands End, Kohls, Fashion Bug, Old Navy, Aeropostale, Walmart and Target. All of these stores are available on your Market America portal. Let me know how it goes – HAPPY SHOPPING

Oh my gosh!!!!!!! I am so excited. All my girlfriends bought a pair of MBT's. I wasn't sure I wanted to "cough up" $250 for them. They are awesome! They immediately took away my back pain when I stood up on them. I will be ordering those tonight!! Thanks Loren!

Hi Loren. I am anonymous #1 (mother of the bride)and fear wearing black because the groom has three children already and I am concerned about the message conveyed. The wedding is at 2pm but I DO love gold, ivory and black. Anything "Hollywood Chic" is up my alley because of a fashion design background. Thanks! Will be looking for inspiration. Polly

    Loren,
What a pleasant surprise!!! It was great meeting you at Leadership. I know you took to heart the concerns I have about overwieght children and the slim to none selection they have in "Cool/Normal" clothes. I believe it was no accident that you now have a face to match the blog. At age 45 I became a single parent to my grandaughter...a newborn. Little did I know what a blessing she would be to me...and it saved her from getting tangled in the foster care system. She will be 10 on March 2nd. It sure flew by fast!
Also...thank you and JR's commitment to the distributors. I, like many others, have been in numberous companies. Thank goodness I was still open to looking at "just one more". I planned on socking money away after my daughter left home, but started the process all over again. This company has given me hope again. With diligence I will be able to retire and help others do the same. So many people need us.
I have had a sense of anticipation for months leading up to Leadership. It was everything I hoped for times 100!!!!
Bless you and JR and, of course, the corporate team.
    Debbie

    Hi Loren!

Thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to interact via this blog. I love it!

One of the headlines on our portal today is about a body shape study conducted in Spain. In the article, they mentioned a new online store called MyShape (www.myshape.com) that helps women customize their wardrobes based on flattering styles for their individual shape. Have you seen that store yet? It would be a perfect addition to our partner store program. It fits completely with our customization concept. I hope you get the chance to check it out.

Thanks again for all that you do!
    Brandi :)

    Loren,
Thank you to you and JR and the entire corporate team for all that you do for us. I absoleutely love this blog page and want to share with you a conversation I had the day before Leadership school with a business partner. I was telling her that I had seen these great walking shoes that are great for reducing the cellulite and toning up but that unfortunately they were going to have to be put on hold because the price range was out of my range. You know, the $250-$300 price range. Well, I could not believe my ears when I heard you talking about them and that I could get them at half the price of what I had seen and I could get them on my web portal! Loren, again thank you so much for all that you are and all that you do.
    God Bless.

Does anyone know if MBT's are safe to work out in? I think I'd be nervous to do cardio in them...weight training could be OK. What are your thoughts on this?

  • At February 20, 2008 1:57 AM , Blogger Loren said...

Hi Amy.. yes they are perfectly safe to work out in.. I use them everyday and whenever I can. You will really see the difference. However, before you start running the treadmill...be sure to practice on them for a couple days.. and then say bye bye to cellulite.. xox Loren
