Okay… so I am super lucky to have all types of fabulous friends. All of my friends are so diverse in what they do and I just love that, cause anything else would simply be boring to me. I am so lucky to have a great friend like Michael Cohen. I mean he is an incredible person, sweet, and funny and the “in the know” celebrity journalist. But what you don’t know is that he is your friend also. He is going to be guest writing on myfashioncents.com and you will be lucky enough to benefit from all his incredible advice. Hope you all have been enjoying shopping at Victoria’s Secret! Just wanted to let you all know that I’m feeling much better after my bike accident. Thank you for all of your support.
So I was watching the news the other night with JR when an article came on about Charlie Rose and how he did a face plant to save his laptop. This kind of reminded me of my bike riding experience. What was really great about this article though was that it talked about the amazingly thin new laptop from Apple, the Macbook Air.
If any of you have tried to travel with a laptop, you all know that it is a cumbersome experience. This laptop though, will blow you away. It fits inside of an envelope and still offers you a full-sized keyboard and super-crisp screen, not to mention, it only weighs a few pounds, which is perfect for traveling! Besides being extremely user friendly, it also plays well with the Apple iPhone! This way, when I’m on the go, I don’t have to carry around a heavy laptop plus I can have all of my music and movies (which I also got from Apple iTunes) with me at all times!
For anyone that is in the market for a great laptop, you should consider the Macbook Air. The design is amazing, not to mention, you can save by buying through your web portal and earning IBV on Apple Store and Apple iTunes purchases!

Oh my!!! Victoria’s Secret has now been revealed…and it’s all at marketamerica.com!! This has been the most requested store from everyone and I am proud to say that they only gave a few companies the opportunity to be a partner…and marketamerica.com is one of the few! I can only imagine why it has been the most requested. Maybe its the fabulous lingerie, or the incredible flannel pj’s they offer, or maybe it’s our men who have been asking for it, because they are tired of us sleeping in their boxer shorts or our old sweatpants:), whatever the answer, I am thrilled. They have an incredible selection of great sleepwear, bridal gifts, clothing, shoes, handbags, heck…they have it all. Tonight is my husbands birthday, so I am taking him to dinner at his favorite restaurant with some of our favorite people. Although he prefers not to ever celebrate birthdays, we will celebrate him and have so a lot of fun. I got him a couple little things, because it is hard to buy for someone who has it all, and he never asks for anything anyway, but I think I will have to slip on something extra special when we get home that I got recently at Victoria’s Secret and see just how much he likes the new store on the portal…:) I will let you know how it goes. The other day as I was standing in line at the grocery store, I couldn’t help but notice all of the different types of magazines on the rack. People, Time, Glamour, Sports Illustrated, even cooking magazines! What is interesting though is that these magazines often sell for their cover price of nearly $4 each! If you really come to think about it, you’re paying quite a bit more for magazines (not to mention, the time to drive to the store, plus the price of gas). Rather than spend a good portion of your hard-earned money on magazines, there is a better way…
Taking a different approach does not necessarily mean that you have to give up something that you like. Had I taken the normal route of buying a magazine off the rack for $4 (for 56 total issues), I would have spent nearly $225 overall for a year! Shopping through Magazines.com (a partner store) for Time magazine though, I spent only $29.95 (for 56 total issues). That saved me almost $200 (and allowed me to get that new dress I had been eyeing at Bloomingdales). Oh yeah, I still managed to have some money leftover. By shopping through my web portal, I shopped smarter and also continue to receive the magazines I love to read on a regular basis.
The other night, JR and I had a fabulous idea, let’s rent a movie! Rather than trudging to the local movie rental store, we joined Netflix, an online movie rental site instead. Not only were we able to setup a rental queue to ensure that we had a non-stop flow of movies delivered right to our mailbox, but we were also able to watch certain movies from our laptops as well at no additional cost! Besides offering the latest in DVD releases, they also carry Blu-ray and HD-DVD rentals and offer many different monthly programs to choose from. We settled on the three-at-a-time plan (and unlimited monthly rentals) for only $16.99 per month! We are really enjoying the service so far. We no longer have to drive to the store only to find out that a movie is out of stock. In addition, returning movies is simple; just drop them in the mailbox.
Anyone looking for a quick and painless process for renting movies should try out this phenomenal service!
