Genetic Denim - Exclusive Interview with creator Ali Fatourechi

Back in February, we launched Genetic Denim, designer jeans made to fit your contour. Just this past week, I had the opportunity to sit down with Ali Fatourechi, founder of Genetic Denim to discuss what makes Genetic Denim so comfortable and popular! Below are some of the questions from the interview.

  1. How did you come up with the name Genetic Denim?

Genetics are different from person to person, jeans are no exception. That is why we created the dominant fit and the recessive fit. Jeans are a mainstay in our everyday lives. As we all know, buying jeans can be a difficult process because some facet just doesn't fit right. With Genetic Denim, you have the ability to get a great pair of jeans that
fits your own genetics, regardless of your size or shape and yet still feel comfortable wearing them!

  2. Genetic Denim offers two distinct fits to their jeans, what is the
    difference between the two?

The two fits are dominant and recessive. A dominant fit is a fuller jean with a little extra room and an un-contoured top. The other type of fit, a recessive fit, is a low rise jean. This particular jean provides a sexier and tighter fitting jean.

  3. What makes Genetic Denim so special?

Genetic Denim is known to have the softest denim in the market. The handfeel feels like butter. And most importantly it fits everyone. If you look at all the celebs that wear Genetic Denim, they are all different shapes and sizes. From Jennifer Lopez to Mary Kate Olsen.

  4. What celebrities are wearing Genetic Denim and why?

We have celebrities like Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Fergie and Cameron Diaz all wearing Genetic Denim. Ever since they launched their jeans a year and a half ago, they have become a favorite with celebrities. Genetics are sold in the best stores in America from Kitson to Saks Fifth Ave.

  5. How much do your jeans retail for?

Our jeans retail from $198 - $253. With Market America though, they range from $130 - $180.

  6. Who wears the jeans that are featured on Market America?

Cameron Diaz and Paris Hilton wear our Recessive Bootcuts in Carbon and Xenon, Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson wear our Zinc Straight legs and Lindsay Lohan and Jamie-Lynn Sigler wear our Twisted seams.

Many thanks to Ali Fatourechi for taking the time to discuss Genetic Denim jeans with us. Let us know how you're loving your Genetic Denim!

Loren
