Motives Beauty Tips – The Eyebrow

A well-groomed, full eyebrow can really make you look like a million bucks. I want to share with you, some of my personal tips and tricks for achieving a beautiful Motives brow.

1. Chosing the correct shade: Women with fair complexions and lighter hair should use a light colored brow pencil. Motives eyebrow pencil in “Blonde” works for a variety of fair complexions. Those with olive tones and darker complexions and hair should go tawny or brown/brownish-gray ( I recommend Motives “taupe” and “earth brown” eye pencil shades.) As a general rule of thumb, your eyebrows should match as closely as possible or lean a shade darker than your hair.
2. Grooming: Brush brows downward first using your handy, built-in brush.


To define the arch, use the pencil to draw a line along the upper edge of the brow. Comb the brows upward and outward.

3. For added fullness, dust eye shadow (be sure to use a matte shade!) into the hairs of the brow with a stiff, slanted brush. Dip the brush into a tiny amount of powder and use short, gentle strokes while applying.

4. If you goofed, and over-tweezed your brows, brush the hairs in the direction of the growth, and fill in any visible patches. Avoid adding to the top or bottom of the brows.

5. As a finishing touch, comb Motives tinted eyebrow finish through the brows to set hairs in place. This product is available in three gorgeous shades which range from light to dark: Macadamia, Chestnut, and Walnut.
