Your Glamorous Holiday Look

When gearing up your holiday fashion look, you don’t want to forget your face. You can be wearing the hottest new fringe dress with a killer pair of black boots, but if your make-up doesn’t set the stage your look won’t come together. Make-up is probably one of your most important fashion accessories. It is the one thing you can use to draw attention to features you want to highlight and diminish those you don’t like. Just like wearing the right clothes can take ten pounds off your figure, the right make-up can take years off your face and centimeters off a too-large nose

The holidays are every woman’s chance to be glamorous, so don’t let the opportunity pass you by. Sexy, plump lips are still in, so make the most of yours by lining with a neutral lip liner that is close to your natural lip color (Love Lip Pencil) and then use a super glossy lip plumper in an equally neutral shade (Plump Up the Volume Lip Plumper).

You will find that your eye color “pops” when you use the right lip color, even before you make-up your eyes. Who knew? A little sweep of a shimmery neutral blush color (Sex in the City – All Over Color, Color Quad) in a “C” shape along the cheekbone and around the eye towards the forehead and you are ready to create your killer holiday eye look.

Using neutral colors on the lips opens the door for a dramatic eye look which is perfect for the holidays. Start with black, dark grey or chocolate brown eyeliner (Little Black Dress, Bling or Chocoholic Gel Eyeliners). Line the entire eye all the way around the top and bottom. Next, use an eyeliner brush (Angled Liner Brush) with an eye shadow in a deep color similar to the eye liner you chose (Glam or Celebrity Mineral Eye Shadow Palette).
Trace the eye shadow over the eyeliner about 75% of the way from the outer corner in on both the top and bottom. Use a highlight eye shadow color in white, cream or light gold (Dream Goddess, Glam or Celebrity Eye Shadow Palettes) and trace the inner corner of the eyeliner, but go just slightly below it.

Use a neutral shadow (Fiji Eye Shadow) all over the eyelid and under the brow. Then make a sideways “V” on the outer corner of the eye with the deep eye shadow color and finish with just a hint of the highlight color beneath your eyebrows. Polish off the look with some thickening mascara (Lash Longer and Tubular Mascara) and you look like a movie star.

The average woman gets to spend more time in a business suit or jeans than she does in an evening gown, but the holiday season is filled with opportunities to glam it up. Your hot holiday make-up look will be fabulous with everything from a little black dress to a warm fuzzy angora sweater and jeans. The right accessories and make-up can make anything you wear more glamorous so make the most of it and have fun.

Love,
Loren
