Apple Store

Hope you all have been enjoying shopping at Victoria’s Secret! Just wanted to let you all know that I’m feeling much better after my bike accident. Thank you for all of your support.

So I was watching the news the other night with JR when an article came on about Charlie Rose and how he did a face plant to save his laptop. This kind of reminded me of my bike riding experience. What was really great about this article though was that it talked about the amazingly thin new laptop from Apple, the Macbook Air.

If any of you have tried to travel with a laptop, you all know that it is a cumbersome experience. This laptop though, will blow you away. It fits inside of an envelope and still offers you a full-sized keyboard and super-crisp screen, not to mention, it only weighs a few pounds, which is perfect for traveling! Besides being extremely user friendly, it also plays well with the Apple iPhone! This way, when I’m on the go, I don’t have to carry around a heavy laptop plus I can have all of my music and movies (which I also got from Apple iTunes) with me at all times!

For anyone that is in the market for a great laptop, you should consider the Macbook Air. The design is amazing, not to mention, you can save by buying through your web portal and earning IBV on Apple Store and Apple iTunes purchases!

VICTORIA'S SECRET IS ON THE PORTAL!!

Oh my!!! Victoria's Secret has now been revealed...and it's all at marketamerica.com!! This has been the most requested store from everyone and I am proud to say that they only gave a few companies the opportunity to be a partner...and marketamerica.com is one of the few! I can only imagine why it has been the most requested. Maybe its the fabulous lingerie, or the incredible flannel pj's they offer, or maybe it's our men who have been asking for it, because they are tired of us sleeping in their boxer shorts or our old sweatpants:), whatever the answer, I am thrilled. They have an incredible selection of great sleepwear, bridal gifts, clothing, shoes, handbags, heck...they have it all. Tonight is my husbands birthday, so I am taking him to dinner at his favorite restaurant with some of our favorite people. Although he prefers not to ever celebrate birthdays, we will celebrate him and have so a lot of fun. I got him a couple little things, because it is hard to buy for someone who has it all, and he never asks for anything anyway, but I think I will have to slip on something extra special when we get home that I got recently at Victoria's Secret and see just how much he likes the new store on the portal...:) I will let you know how it goes. The other day as I was standing in line at the grocery store, I couldn't help but notice all of the different types of magazines on the rack. People, Time, Glamour, Sports Illustrated, even cooking magazines! What is interesting though is that these magazines often sell for their cover price of nearly $4 each! If you really come to think about it, you're paying quite a bit more for magazines (not to mention, the time to drive to the store, plus the price of gas). Rather than spend a good portion of your hard-earned money on magazines, there is a better way...

Taking a different approach does not necessarily mean that you have to give up something that you like. Had I taken the normal route of buying a magazine off the rack for $4 (for 56 total issues), I would have spent nearly $225 overall for a year! Shopping through Magazines.com (a partner store) for Time magazine though, I spent only $29.95 (for 56 total issues). That saved me almost $200 (and allowed me to get that new dress I had been eyeing at Bloomingdales). Oh yeah, I still managed to have some money leftover. By shopping through my web portal, I shopped smarter and also continue to receive the magazines I love to read on a regular basis.

The other night, JR and I had a fabulous idea, let’s rent a movie! Rather than trudging to the local movie rental store, we joined Netflix, an online movie rental site instead. Not only were we able to setup a rental queue to ensure that we had a non-stop flow of movies delivered right to our mailbox, but we were also able to watch certain movies from our laptops as well at no additional cost! Besides offering the latest in DVD releases, they also carry Blu-ray and HD-DVD rentals and offer many different monthly programs to choose from. We settled on the three-at-a-time plan (and unlimited monthly rentals) for only $16.99 per month! We are really enjoying the service so far. We no longer have to drive to the store only to find out that a movie is out of stock. In addition, returning movies is simple; just drop them in the mailbox.

Anyone looking for a quick and painless process for renting movies should try out this phenomenal service!

What a Week!!

Ok...so last week wasn't the best as I shared with you and the weekend wasn't much better. I went for a bike ride with JR (I do this all the time) and somehow, I guess I was going to fast and flipped over the handle bars. I am fine though:) a couple of bad abrasions, a sprained ankle and ripped ligaments...making it a little difficult to get around but things could be worse:) Those things heal and with a little extra OPC-3, all will be fine in a couple weeks. It's beautiful in Miami today and I am so excited about the new additions to the portal late last week. Yep, it's about time...we got Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales. Two of my favorite stores online right now. This is just perfect for those of us who hate to go to the mall, or don't have local access to those stores, now you can purchase whatever they have online right at marketamerica.com. I decided to give it a test try today and see what could be found at Saks. I should have known that could have been costly. So about $1900.00 later and 5% back, I got some of the cutest spring clothes. I love all the new colors for spring. If it is colorful, it is sure to be hot and "in". I'm Back!

It seems like an eternity since we have talked. Although maybe its just been a few days. I am back in Miami after spending wonderful time with Jenn and Marc and Max and Emme. They are a beautiful family. Miami is beautiful this time of year and it is good to be home. It has been a crazy week. Some days not so great, but always much more good, and we have so much to be grateful for. I know everyone has weeks like this, (people letting you down, spending too much time handling things that someone else should have done, etc etc) so it is just a matter of keeping your head high and keep plugging away. When things seem like this, it sure is nice to have YOU to talk to. (I already feel better:) So here I am at 3:30 am, and the best thing for me to do before going to bed and starting fresh again is to share with you. We had some friends over for the movie premiere of "Bella" tonight. It is an incredible movie and it won "Best Movie" at the Toronto Film Festival. Our dear friend Eduardo is the star of it (girls, you can check him out cause he is as sweet on the inside as he is cute on the outside) The movie has an incredible message about love, family and life. We invited a few friends to see it. Bruce Weber the ledgendary photographer came as well as Mike Piazza and a few others. Everyone was touched by it. (All the guys shed more than a few tears, which is always nice to see in a very warm way) I am going to start fresh tommorrow writing you daily. But I didn't want to go to bed without speaking with you. This is the way for me to recharge my batteries when they are running low. So no fashion tips tonight, or great suggestions (except check out Singer 22 for the most adorable and latest looks) but I will be back tommorrow bright eyed, recharged and ready to go.
