We all have them. Some are big, some are small. Some are dark some are light. Some are plump, some are thin. Lips. It is a common misconception that everyone wants Angelina Jolie’s lips. Some people might want to lose some of the plump in their pout. Here are some great tips to help deflate the pout in your lips and provide your lips with another completely different look! Be bold and don’t be afraid to try something different with your look!
To make lips look fuller:
Apply a lip gloss to the middle of the bottom lip. This brings them out, making them appear larger. Also use a lighter shade, bringing light to the lips.
To make lips look thinner:
Use a darker shade when choosing colors. Deeper shades cause the lips to look smaller. Also, steer clear of shiny glosses. Use Matte shades to ensure you are not bringing attention to the size you are trying to diminish

She currently rules the billboard charts. What’s next you might ask? As reported on PerezHilton.com, Taylor Swift is working on a line of cotton dresses for brand, L.E.I. If you aren’t familiar with L.E.I., it is a brand made for Wal-Mart. Swift’s new line will sell for around $14 and will be available next month. If you ask me, her dresses sound like a real bargain and qualify as a “fashion-centsible” pick.
According to Jack Gross, Group Chief Executive Officer at L.E.I., “we selected Taylor because she is someone with a good reputation and someone who we didn’t have to be afraid of getting any sort of bad press.” He also added that “she is so famous, but really so grounded. We liked her immediately.”
And there you have it! Taylor Swift’s foray into the world of being a fashion designer. If you aren’t yet familiar with her music, check it out on iTunes!

Chanel mastermind, Karl Lagerfeld always has a few tricks up his sleeve; but lately, he has taken fashion to new artistic heights! Check out the masterpieces worn by the Chanel runway models at Paris Fashion week this past Tuesday. The entire opening set and the models’ headresses are made entirely out of white paper!
[Image via The New York Times]
The 2009 haute couture collection opened up to an entirely white affair where plastic flowers, diagonal disks, lace and tulle, paper lights, and models decked out in paper headresses won the show a huge burst of applause. Apparently, “Lagerfeld got a team of 40 to labor for two weeks to produce the 7,000 paper flowers, bouquets, table clothes and pot pourri that embellished the extravagant nightclub décor.”
I wonder what inspired the unique choice of medium? Perhaps the various odd homages to the iconic brand served as inspiration? Or could the house of Chanel be taking a cue from Zaha Hadid–whom, as you may remember–created a mobile art exhibition containing contemporary designs inspired by the iconic brand.
What do you think of Lagerfeld’s creations?

Loren
TGIF! The weekend is almost here! We all work hard and deserve to escape from the stresses of everyday life every now and again. What better way to indulge and recharge your inner battery than by enjoying a lighthearted film? And since this is Fashion Cents, what more appropriate a film to recommend than Confessions of a Shopaholic? No, it’s not my personal memoir ;) It’s an upcoming film based on the ultra-popular novel by Sophie Kinsella. Have a look at the movie trailer, then set-up a girls’ night to catch the film opening this weekend!
