Fashion Tips – Maxi Dresses: A Spring to Summer Staple

June 20th // 1 Comment

Versatile pieces like a long dress will be one of your go to outfits this season. Whether you are hosting a party at your house or rocking out at a concert at the beach a maxi dress is always the perfect choice. Comfortable and chic long dresses in fabrics like cotton or jersey are great for day, while fabrics like silk or satin are better for evening. Here are some great styles to start building this season’s staples. And one celebrity whose staple piece is the maxi dress is Nicole Richie, whether she is pregnant or her usual super slim she always makes a fashion statement with her long boho dresses.

Fashion Tips – Canvas Belts

June 19th // 1 Comment

There’s something irresistible about a canvas belt for spring. On guys it exudes a certain casual-yet-preppy charm when worn with lightweight trousers and leather loafers. And for the ladies, it takes on a more industrial appeal layered over lightweight dresses and long tops. Here, a no-rock-left-unturned roundup of the best styles on the web right now. Which would you wear?

Trends and News – The Triumphant Return of the One-Piece

June 19th // 2 Comments

After nearly two decades of watching swimwear shrink to nearly unwearable proportions, I couldn’t be more thrilled to see designers take a renewed interest in the one-piece. But unlike the playful, retro styles I’ve seen in the past this season’s interpretations are flooded with plenty of sexy options. Take a look at these flattering, unabashedly seductive styles that prove once and for all, less skin is definitely, definitely more.

Lifestyle – Building Your Own DJ

June 19th // 6 Comments

Once upon a time, men went to their local indie record store or underground club to expand their music library. These days, you merely need to click to Pandora. This smart internet radio website is deeply addictive. Just type in the name your favorite band: Pandora will automatically play some of its songs along with music from other bands with a similar sound. Give a song thumbs-down and it disappears from your playlist forever. Give a song thumbs up, and the site automatically hunts for more songs like that one. (Oh, and then you can go to Apple iTunes and download them.)

Speak: Have any of you tried Pandora? If so, what’s the newest, coolest musical group you’ve turned up?

Pandora’s first in-Spanish music video stars Kinky, a Monterrey, Mexico-based band that recently rocked Coachella.

Love,
Loren
