Fall for fall fashion at JCPenney

It’s about that time…no, I’m not talking about Thanksgiving or Christmas (or Black Friday for that matter — the biggest shopping day of the year).  I’m talking about the fall season!  To help get you out of those bathing suits and flip-flops,  I wanted to share with you some great new fall fashions that will be hitting your JCPenney stores very soon!

This year is a year of firsts — JCPenney is launching their first contemporary label called ‘She Said’ in addition to styles from Bisou Bisou and I Heart Ronson.  Below are a few new looks for the upcoming fall season.

The Preppy Takeover

Preppy is both trendy and classic – and admittedly, a little tricky to pull off. If you want to integrate the usual country-club suspects – a classic navy blazer, and penny loafers – into a fresh, modern look, don’t wear them altogether. Caddyshack Chic!

Not many people would turn to a kitschy 80’s comedy for style inspiration, but if you ask me, Ty Webb (Chevy Chase) and Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield) from Caddyshack are truly worth your admiration. Their quirky color combinations turned a wardrobe of uber-preppy staples into a fun fashion statement. So in the spirit of Mr. Webb and Mr. Czervik’s envelope-pushing style, I’ve pulled-together some items that will give your wardrobe a little dose of Caddyshack cool.

Motives® by Loren Ridinger is Funkshionally Fashionable

I know it’s not Monday, but here’s some exciting news.  Funkshion Fashion Week 2009 (which happens to be held in Miami Beach), has selected Motives® by Loren Ridinger to be the official cosmetics! Soo exciting!!

Funkshion Fashion Week 2009 will be held October 14-18 and will feature 200 models and over 16 fashion shows wearing dresses donated by top designers, all of which benefit the American Heart Association.

In honor of this event, I’ll be unveiling my “Going Red” Motives® by Loren Ridinger lipstick, where 25 percent of all proceeds are donated to the American Heart Association.
