Target is at it again! This time, the retailer has paired up with famed fashion designer, Anna Sui for another Designer Collaboration. The series will launch in select stores and Target.com on September 13th. Here’s a look at what’s to come:

The Anna Sui for Target collection celebrates the fusion of Upper East Side style and Downtown urban-edge at incredibly affordable prices, making designer fashion available to women everywhere! I never doubt the fashion power of Target!

September 1st // 2 Comments

Ok, ok, Spring Fever has hit me (with Fashion Week and all), but I can’t leave this Fall fashion gem off my rave list! Malini Murjani is a handbag designer. She’s also a very good friend of mine, and I love love her stuff! She is incredibly fashionable, beautiful, and her handbags are no different. Just check out the GORGEOUS detail on the “Erin” clutch pictured above. Here are a few more of Malini’s designs that are now available on MarketAmerica.com!

I love how Malini’s designs incorporate hardware and funky, travel-inspired details for a look that’s as individual as she is! Learn more about Malini here, and check out more of her designs on MarketAmerica.com!

Hot For Fashion Week: Rebecca Taylor and Tracy Reese!

September 1st // Comment Here

As promised, I’m providing the best buzz for New York Fashion Week, right here on MyFashionCents.com! Check out these great sketches from two of my favorite fashion designers: Tracy Reese, and Rebecca Taylor.

Tracy Reese

From the Designer:

“To enter spring with a modern and upbeat attitude we used vibrant hues and the combination of architectural shapes and easy folds on drapey materials. A passion fruit surplice frock in a relaxed, draped silhouette with textural embellishment is the perfect piece to kick off the season with a look that is elegant with edge.” ~Tracy Reese, Designer and Founder

From The Designer:

The Rebecca Taylor girl for spring explores urban femininity. She works, lives and plays in the city. Towering printed sandals and architectural structured stretch dresses are softened with femme corset-inspired bustiers and flippy, fun, pull on printed skirts. Spring 2010 encompasses playful use of colors, prints and textures. The palette is intense with shades of big apple reds, shocking pinks, electric blues, and retro jades contrasted with desert tans and soft, peachy oranges.

Whew! Color overload! It isn’t even fall yet, and I already have Spring Fever!

Loren

Trends and News – Armored Jeans

September 1st // 3 Comments

This week in hilarious fashion inventions: Armored Jeans

The envelope-pushing folks over at Acne—known for their avant garde designs—have created a pair of skinny jeans adorned with metal plating for the Spring 2010 collection. To me they resemble built-in roller blade pads, but I have no doubt that we’ll soon see these futuristic warrior pants on a bevy of fashionable young things. Is this the future of denim? Discuss.
