Dressing for curves: Jennifer Hudson

October 26th // Comment Here

Jennifer Hudson just had a baby son and looks prettier than ever. Here she is with Donatella Versace at the Whitney Museum Gala on October 19th. The blush color looks perfect against her skin tone, but it’s the shape of the dress that really makes it work. The empire waist nips the most slender part of her body, the long skirt has a leg-lengthening effect, and the jeweled straps draw the eye upward. There’s a slight flare, but not too much volume. Perfection, no?

Spring Trend Preview: Gorgeous floral dresses at Chanel

October 25th // 1 Comment

A highlight of Paris fashion week was the Chanel show, set up to look like a barnyard. What do you think: Was the runway show a rebuke to the all the editors dressed in Chanel contrast-trim cardigans, black suits and white camellias — or will we all be wearing cowboy boots and clogs next year? And which Chanel outfit would you rather own – the models’ or Claudia Schiffer’s?

The Fur Trend- Stylist Faux Fur Options

October 25th // Comment Here

For as long as I can remember there have been fights between PETA and the fashion industry regarding the use of fur. Many celebrities have been targeted as bad role models and examples for wearing fur. Major fashion houses have also been the target of major debates because of their use of fur. There are certainly beautiful options made out of real fur, but here are some options that will look equally stylish and some even feel like real fur. Check out this picture of Victoria Beckham wearing a faux fur coat.
