Steal this look!

This fresh-faced musician has managed to get a rather tricky trend in beauty just right—feathered eyebrows. After years of watching women over pluck to the point of almost bareness, it seems that the current grooming trend has bounced back to the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Though this look certainly requires less time at your waxer, it does involve a bit more attention in your daily routine. Here, an easy-to-follow breakdown for making this look your own.

The Brows:

Start with Motives® by Loren Ridinger Eyebrow Groomer and brush brows up and away from your nose. If you have really long brows, I suggest trimming them just a bit. You don’t want your eyebrows stopping too far up your forehead. Then, using Motives® by Loren Ridinger Eyebrow Brush and a matching shade from the Motives® by Loren Ridinger Essential Brow Kit, lightly fill in any bare areas using an upward stroke. The key to making this look work is a light hand. Using a shade that’s too dark, or even too much of the right shade will result in brows that look bushy, as opposed to the light, feathered feel you’re going for.

The Eyes:

Using Motives® by Loren Ridinger Kohl Eyeliner in Onyx, lightly rim the very inside of your lids being careful to avoid the corner of the eye closest to your nose. By leaving a few centimeters unlined on both the top and bottom lid, you create the illusion of a wider, bigger eye. It’s subtly dramatic, without being too all-over black. Then very lightly apply a layer of Motives® by Loren Ridinger Eyeshadow in Onyx. It helps to use a thin brush and start close to your lashes, then blend out. To get the perfect dusted-on effect, I usually use my fingertip and softly smear until I get the right amount of shading. Finally, finish with Motives® by Loren Ridinger Lustrafy Mascara, again concentrating the heaviest amount of product on the outside lashes.

The Lips:

Start with moisturized lips, then line the outside rim with Motives® by Loren Ridinger Lip Crayon in Neutral. Fill in, and gently press lips together to get rid of any lines. For more tips on using lip crayons, click here.
