Wedding season has come early this year, bringing with it the epic-long battle over what to wear—particularly when it comes to bridesmaids. I truly believe that the best bridesmaid dresses are not actually bridesmaid dresses. They are universally cute (and wedding appropriate!) dresses that you can and will, in fact, wear again. Below are my top 5 styles for every wedding theme you can imagine. Let me know what you think.
For the City Wedding: BCBG, $260 at Bloomingdales

For the Garden Wedding: Maggy London, $128 at Macy’s

For the Hippie-Chic Wedding: Adrianna Papell, $198 at Dillards

For the Country Wedding: Spiegel, $79

For the Hawaiian Wedding: Tibi, $270 at Net-A-Porter

Love,
Loren

The no white dress rule was rejected quite some time ago…meaning that now it’s okay for a female guest to wear white to a wedding as long as the dress is chosen carefully. You don’t want to wear anything that would mistake you for the bride, which can be particularly difficult since current wedding styles are quite simple these days. If you do opt for a white attire option, be sure to accessorize with color.

Great pics.
I do not think the 1st dress is innapropiate, actually nowadays many concepts on traditional weddings are completly out the door with theme weddings.Brides, see http://www.creative-theme-wedding-ideas.com
for other theme wedding ideas

I think the first dress is pretty inappropriate. Most brides are still pretty sensitive of guests also wearing white at their wedding. Might sound old-fashion, but I think out of respect to our tradition and brides – we shouldn’t wear white to a wedding. That dress would look great anywhere else though….
