Archive for January, 2010
Since I spent this past weekend talking about 2010 and Market America, it got me thinking about 2010 and MyFashionCents. This blog means a lot to me and I love discussing fashion, shopping and deals with you all! In the spirit of the new year, I’d like to ask you guys what you would like to see for MyFashionCents this year.
If you have the time, please answer these questions :)
- How did you find out about my blog?
- How long have you been reading MyFashionCents?
- How often do you check MyFashionCents? (Once a day, weekly, etc.)
- What are your favorite topics on MyFashionCents?
- If I could do one thing better on my blog, what would you suggest?
Also, tell me a little bit about who you are…
- Occupation (Mom? Student? Recent grad?)
- Gender
- Do you have a Twitter account? How about Facebook?
- What other blogs do you check out regularly?
Please leave comments or email me (loren@myfashioncents.com) your answers! Add anything you’d like: suggestions, constructive criticism, praise, etc!
Thank you for filling this out! xoxo
Lots of love,

The folks over at Target were trying to keep photos of their upcoming collaborations with Zac Posen and Jean Paul Gaultier top secret—even going as far as requiring editors and bloggers to sign non disclosure wavers! But try as they might, a little over a week later the photos have been leaked. Keeping secrets in today’s virtual society is pretty much not an option. Anyway, since I’m no longer required to keep these photos under wraps, here they are!
Zac Posen (which is by far my favorite Target collaboration yet) hits stores April 25th and features a hefty lineup of pin-up style swimwear, flirty cocktail dresses, and sleek suiting, all under $100.
Jean Paul Gaultier’s collection drops on March 7th and includes a rare-but-fun mix of country-meets-rocker pieces: gingham bodices, leather jackets, and the labels signature tattoo-printed tees.
Lots of love,
Loren
The crowd (myself included) went absolutely wild for tonight’s performance by Alejandro Sanz! I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end such an important and fun weekend with my MA family. I really hope you all enjoyed yourselves and learned a lot – thanks so much for coming to visit in Miami xo
Love,
Loren
PS: So sorry I haven’t been able to keep up with regular posting… all will be back to normal soon… with one of my best giveaways yet come Monday morning!
I apologize to everyone who has to leave the warmth of Florida after this weekend’s World Conference! I heard on the weather channel snow, snow and more snow! Since hiding under the covers is not a viable option (at least for long periods of time!) when the cold front sets in, try for another, more cheerful option: flowers – and lots of them. Floral printed dresses, tops, blazers, even shoes are a happy reminder that spring (and warm weather) is right around the corner! Here are some choice blooms sure to cheer you right up…
ASOS floral blazer, $93.48
Urban Outfitters, Kimchi floral weekender $68
Bluefly, Yumi Kim silk blouse $59.99
Forever21 Canvas Flats $12.80
Free People Ruffled Flowers Shift Dress $78

Loren
I’m going to post the video from meet-and-greet giveaway soon, but first… a couple of teaser pics!

How is everyone’s day going? If you are here in Miami for Conference I want to hear your thoughts! I miss you if you aren’t here xo
Love,
Loren
Wow – today was nothing short of being absolutely powerful and I hope you all got as much out of it as I did! We packed the American Airlines Arena! Throughout Conference, a lot of people always ask me about my outfits and how and why I chose to wear what I do on stage. Honestly, I have been a huge fan of tweed suits for a long time, so it was a pretty easy choice for today’s ensemble! My skirt suit was by Versace – and I love the fabric and details because it adds the perfect dose of femininity.

This jacket is slightly taken in at the waist, which is a great way to add curves, and I wanted to steer clear of any boxy-ness. The band around the waist adds even more definition and the small detail of piping along the edges of the jacket gives it a unique twist. Here is my choice, a looks for less option, that has the same qualities in fit and shape but at a lovely price…

Arden B. Grosgrain Trim Blazer $29.99
What’s your favorite way to girly up your best suit?
Love you all,
Loren
