Today, Kruger gives us a master class on how to wear skinny diagonal stripes in a flattering, un-busy way. The trick: Keep the rest of your outfit pared down, WAY down. Discreet earrings, one pretty cuff, a jewel-tone clutch and delicate, spaghetti-strap sandals add just the right amount of flair.

Conveniently, Hilary Duff stepped up the same week to demonstrate how to look genius in WIDE diagonal stripes. The key here is to play off the big-statement pattern with something sleek and slim-fitting (like slim black denim) and, again, keep jewelry statements to a minimum.

I realize that diagonal stripes can have intimidating, Pat Benatar overtones – but they work wonders at playing up feminine curves, so I encourage you to give them a try.
When in doubt, start with a pinstripe!

Did you all watch the end of The Masters tournament a few weeks ago? It was an amazing moment, and the gasps in our living room grew even louder when Phil Mickelson took off his cap to be interviewed. In case you missed it, the moment clearly illustrated the limits of golf- and baseball caps in the sun protection department.

What’s the secret to strong, gorgeous brows? Using two shades of brow powder to create a softer, more natural effect that’s tailored to your coloring. If you’re blonde or have sparse brows, for example, you might want to lean more on the lighter shade while filling in your arch. If your brows are naturally darker, you can use the deeper shade to perfect the line.
