Karen Elson is one of my favorite models. Off duty, she runs an amazing vintage shop called Venus and Mars: The Showroom in Nashville, where she lives with her husband Jack White of the White Stripes and is currently recording her first album.
So to say that Karen Elson is cool is an understatement. And her boundary-pushing personality plays a huge part in her beauty picks as well. Here, she manages to pull off two seemingly at odds shades—pale orange eyeshadow and pinkish-red lips—and makes it look simple. The feel is certainly quirky, but as long as you go easy on the mascara and blush the end result has a pretty, I-make-my-own-rules vibe.

It is definitely a look that requires a special technique and total look. With the short bangs and nearly invisible brows the colors do pop. I think this works best for strong facial structure.
