Earlier this fall, Blake Lively was seen filming Gossip Girl in New York City wearing this sky blue Carolina Herrera dress. Just last week, another blonde, Ivanka Trump, walked the red carpet wearing the same dress! Both ladies left their hair long and loose, and accessories with a cuff bracelet and small clutch.

The natural daylight in the Blake Lively photo gives the dress a much brighter color — it looks like a cool grey in the Trump photo. While Ivanka looks like an elegant princess, Blake looks like something out of this world — a flower fairy perhaps — all she needs is wings! I like her lighter, brighter colored accessories, contrasted with her dark fingernails — wish I could see her shoes. The looks are totally different, and which you like better depends on which world you prefer, I think. For me, fantasy with a joyful twist brings a smile to my face :-)

I like the way the dress looks on Blake better but I like Ivanka’s polished/clean look with her hair and makeup.

While my husband and I love love love Ivanca…clearly Blake looks better. Ivanca – you are amazing, but the ruffles should be saved for people without the beautiful curves.
