I would wear a suit as there are so many ways to dress it up. If the party is more casual the jeans idea as pictured above would look great with a jacket & camisole.
Also, I love Talbot’s! They have clothes that are classics & really never go out of style. They are well tailored and made very well. I wished they were a partner store!:)
