Steal This Look – Alicia Keys Gives Me Green Eyed Envy

Coming off awards season—where most everyone plays it safe—Alicia Keys does a great job of reminding us all that makeup should be fun, too. Her metallic green eyeshadow and expertly defined eyes are a fabulous night-out combination.

Like all bold looks, the trick to not letting it go completely over-the-top is balance. Pick a crème-based shadow, like Motives Eye Candy Crème Eyeshadow in Sour Apple, that you can apply with your finger. It goes on a little thick, but that’s the point. You want the color to be saturated. Then follow the inside rim of your eyelid with Motives Liquid Eyeliner in Noir. Be sure to let this dry completely, before finishing with Motives Lustrafy High Definition Mascara in Onyx.

Keep the rest of your makeup simple and neutral. This look is all about a statement eye. And, most importantly, have fun!

Lots of love,

Loren

The greem really pops with Alicia’s skin tone and brown eyes. I wonder how it would look on someone with pale skin.
