I think this is a truly beautiful thing! Kellie Pickler debuted a new haircut on Good Morning America today: a completely shaved head. Kellie’s best friend Summer Holt Miller was recently diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 36 and the singer chopped her locks to show support during Summer’s chemotherapy treatments. Both women released a statement saying, “Cancer does not discriminate. If this compels even one person to change their mentality toward waiting until the age of 40 for their mammogram, then it will be worth it.”

Beautiful action by a true friend. This reminds me of my great friend Claudette who did the same thing when I was to undergo chemo treatments after my diagnosis of breast cancer. Love you Claudi:)
