Harvey Nichols Ad Features Models Peeing Their Pants

June 8th // 11 Comments

Sorry in advance if this offends anyone! But I had to share! Is the new Harvey Nichols ad tacky or true creative genius? They certainly weren’t scared to step outside the box while promoting their latest sale and the models really grab your attention. Telling consumers “try to contain your excitement” Harvey Nichols ad features models peeing their pants over discounts. Literally!

The Harvey Nichols ad has sparked some serious controversy but I want to know what you think – leave a comment or tweet me @lorenridinger about the how the Harvey Nichols ad features models peeing their pants.

First– it seems he needed some creative advertising as the clothing is quite boring.

Second – perhaps he has stock in Depends

Third —–soooooo glad he is not promoting digestive enzymes or a cleanse

Lastly – I truly hope these models think twice (understatement ) before taking these assignments. I am no fortune teller but I see embarrassing moments in your future. And no way I would post this on my FB page but humorous to comment on.

Let’s be real, this is not about peeing in their pants [titter, titter, tee-hee]. This is about sexual excitement. If the clothing is so boring the only way attention can be garnered is by being crude and “Look at how ‘bad’ we are,” then I pity the the company and the people who buy this drivel. This is not even “outre,” it’s sad.

Didn’t grab my attention. Thought it had to do with waterproof pants for women with bladder problems. Maybe if “SALE” was larger & the women was mouthing “oh no” it would work better for me. I’d rather seen a woman that looked like she jumped out of bed with hair in curlers & half dressed hurrying to the sale.

Just because we live in a world in which the bizarre becomes normal, Fashioncents does not have to lead the parade.

Okay, stupid me! Being of older age I thought maybe he had come up with something to stop this from showing in case you had an accident. Instead I could model these outfits without any fake dribbles of water!

I think it’s a bit over the top. Ok for a porn site, but not to be associated with Market America.

Uh, this is not creative. This is just clothing w bad taste for advertising. He pushed the envelope to gross. This is not thinking out the box (no pun intended). Just seems like lazy advertising.

if everyone likes what u do, it means ur doing it wrong! why can’t we accept anything new? i think this idea is extraordinary, i mean showing the excitement by peeing is very hilarious actually!! not to mention: THIS is what made the ad so special than other ads, by capturing people’s attention whether was it negative or not.
