Mixing prints might be the most intimidating trend out there right now. Not too many women will hit their closet and match stripes with polka dots or tribal and floral. Wearing prints together takes lots of shopping practice (twist my arm!) and it’s essential to try things on when mixing prints for a cohesive look. Wearing prints together doesn’t mean you should look like you got dressed in the dark!
I’ve put together an example of how to wear prints together below – each piece is in the same color family of tan, black and a touch of pink. What do you think? Would you mix prints and wear this ensemble?
How to Wear Prints Together
- Malene Birger sambiara short $335
- Moschino Cheap & Chic printed top $190
- Valextra Isis Gioiello mini clutch $1320
- Vionnet black slingback sandals $650

Love this look. I have a sense of style, although mixing prints are not my strong point. I would love to see more of these in the future. I’m in agreement with the other comments regarding the need to make them MUCH more affordable. Great for those that have that kind of money to blow, but that isn’t the majority of us. Thanks Loren.

I understand that being with Market America we always want to look our part by looking like a million dollars. Not all of us are there yet, so we would like to “look” like a million dollars, at a Target or Kohls price! It would be great if you could do both!

I’d like to see “How to get this look for less” with similar-looking pieces from Target, etc!

Separately, all the pieces look great, but I would like to see this concept on a model for a better idea on how to match prints

Hi Loren – while I appreciate your sense of style, I really don’t think that highlighting a $2,495 “casual” outfit resonates with your “average” sales consultant.
