At Home Color Tips: 4 Ways to Get Hair Dye Off Hands

  1. Toothpaste and baking soda. Mix a little toothpaste and baking soda together to make a scrub for your hands – you may have to work a little at this one or use an old toothbrush to help scrub.
  2. Hand sanitizer. Believe it or not, with some dyes, hand sanitizer will get the job done.
  3. If you purchase your hair dye at a beauty supply store, look for Fanciful Towlettes while you’re at it. These work like magic.
  4. Hydrogen Peroxide. A cotton pad dipped in hydrogen peroxide works like a charm for getting hair dye off hands.
