Best of 2014 Celebrity Beauty
Cate Blanchett – The Delicate Beauty
Cate Blanchett seems to never have a bad red carpet moment. At the 2014 Oscars, her simple delicate beauty look was anything but dull. With a hint of Old Hollywood glamour, Cate accented her features with long lush eyelashes and minimal nude colored eye shadow, perfectly feminine peach cheeks and a nude pink lipstick. She simply looked fresh and well put together. Her side part and soft waves were the just-right complement to her natural makeup.
Sandra Bullock – The Smokey Eyed Beauty
Sandra Bullock paired her classic navy dress with a sophisticated smokey eye. To accentuate her brown eyes, the shadow begins with a dark black around the rims of her eyes and then tapers off into a darker brown color. And, of course, lots of thick lashes and mascara is necessary to pull off this look and to make your eyes the center of attention. Still, though it is all about the eyes, Sandra’s nude pink lipstick as well as her beautiful pink cheeks helped balance out the boldness of the dark eyeshadow.
Emma Watson – The Vibrant Beauty
Emma Watson, one of the “It Girls” of the red carpet played up her youthful yet chic style with a bold lip and feathery lashes. This young beauty looked confident and sophisticated with a matte red lip and subtly matching eyeshadow. For Emma’s sleek and effortless hairstyle was pulled off with a dab of non-frizz serum to give her that sleek appearance.
Olivia Wilde – The Sultry Mod Beauty
Olivia Wilde has those piercing green eyes that stun even without makeup. However, I love the way she accentuated her eyes with thick cat-eye liner and long false lashes. With this winged eye look, there is no need for eye shadow since the combination of lashes and liner are the only two essentials really needed. Another one of my favorite parts of this look is her glowing skin. The slight dewy touches on her forehead, cheeks and chin add just the right touch of glow to an otherwise matte look.
