The Met Gala definitely brought some inspiring makeup and fashion looks. I loved Lupita Nyong’o’s hair, Emma Watson’s recycled dress and of course, Demi Lovato’s gorgeous makeup look. Lovato arrived to the Met Gala wearing a gorgeous Moschino dress on the arm of the brand’s creative director Jeremy
I love her slicked back hair and of course her matte eye makeup look. Check her out below.

This makeup look is all about mixing a bronze glow with a fresh smokey eye. I’d start out with a foundation that leaves a dewey glow. Next, I’d highlight and contour with some cream products to keep that bronzy glow as natural as possible. My suggestion is to use the Motives Mavens Sculpt Series because it’s got shades that’ll leave you with a glowy finish like Demi’s. Once you’ve blended those products out using a damp beauty sponge, make sure to set your face with powder and be sure to set your cream contour with some bronzer to keep up that tanned look as fresh as possible.
Next move on to brows. Use a light hand with a dark eyebrow pencil to create a look similar to Demi’s. She loves bold brows so make sure to keep them as bold as you like. Now, for these eyes. Because this is an intense eye look, I suggest that you start with a primer so your makeup lasts. Next, use a patting motion on the eyelid with a flat brush and a black matte eye shadow. My favorite matte black is in the Motives Mavens Dynasty Palette.
To feather out this look, use a fluffy brush to apply the brown shade of this palette into the crease. Doing this will give your eye look some dimension while blending out the black eye shadow at the same time. Use a smaller brush to apply the black eye shadow underneath the waterline. Line your water waterline with a black kohl eyeliner and add the lightest color in the palette as a highlight before you add mascara. Lastly, put on your favorite nude lipstick and you’ve got a makeup look perfect for a night out!
