I’m really loving the pinkish-nude shade that Amanda Seyfried has been wearing lately. It’s the perfect transition into spring shade… a little shimmery, a little pink and very, very feminine. Here’s how to get the look yourself (and make it last all day!):
Start with Motives Lip Crayon in Naked. Line your lips and then use the crayon to completely fill them in.

Then top it off with a shade like Motives Lip Shine in Candlelight to add the shimmer. You can reapply as needed throughout the day. But no matter how long you wait, your base color will last and last.

Enjoy!

There’s something so alluring about off-the-shoulder dresses: They’re sexy yet discreet – and they create a diagonal line that visually whittles your waist. The trick is to go with a shape that isn’t too clingy. And if the strap is topped with a ruffle or flower, make sure that it doesn’t overpower you. The bare slice of skin is usually statement enough.

The red-carpet crowd is loving this look at the moment. Which dress do you think works best?

I saved this photo of Amanda Seyfried to my desktop a few weeks ago, because I loved the color combination she used on her lips. It’s sort of a shimmery peach-y, bronze-y, berry shade that much to my annoyance has taken me this long to figure out how to mix myself.
But thankfully, I got to the bottom of it and here is the winning technique:
First, apply Motives Formula Lipstick in Raspberry Burst. Blot. Then top with Motives Full Color Lip Shine in Sugar-n-Spice. Enjoy!
Motives Rich Formula Lipstick in Raspberry Burst $14
Motives Full Color Lip Shine in Sugar-n-Spice $16.95
What do you think? Something you will try?

It takes only one of these soft eye-shadow tones to upgrade your makeup, but as actress Amanda Seyfried showed at the Dear John premiere, they can look even prettier together. I like the pairing of luminous mauve and gunmetal shades on her lids: It’s such a great, unexpected alternative to classic brown, and makes blue eyes look even brighter.
