Fashion Moments from the VMA White Carpet

The MTV Video Music Awards are known for their ‘rules are made to be broken’ mentality – much different from the standard awards show! While I found the actual show to be kind of a snooze, the white carpet was a fabulous idea! It was the perfect backdrop for the dark colors and metallic, rocker accents the celebs were wearing:

Obviously, everyone was on edge, waiting for Lady Gaga to debut her various outfits (more like works of art)! She walked the carpet in an Alexander McQueen gown from his last collection.

My Red Carpet Picks for the BET Awards!

Did you happen to catch the BET Awards last night? The red carpet was filled with celebrities dressed in a variety of styles – for example, here’s a dressed up Nick Cannon and a casual P. Diddy:

These two ladies get my best dressed vote… I couldn’t choose between them! This red gown looked stunning on Ashanti, and Ciara snagged this Balmain number straight off the runway:

After my best dressed picks, you all know what’s coming :) Brittany Daniel’s inappropriate black gown gets my vote for worst dressed, with Jada Pinkett Smith in a close second.

If only Jada’s romper actually had shorts, or was a skirt, this outfit would have looked fierce! However, I do love her blazer.

My Worst Dressed Picks for the Grammy Awards’ Red Carpet. Do You Agree? Disagree?

I pretty much planned my relaxing evening around watching the Grammy Awards last night – and the red carpet really bummed me out! I was so disappointed… nothing wowed me, to say the least. Instead of a gallery of who I thought should win Best Dressed, here are some photos of people who either need to hire a stylist, or get a new one.

When I heard Brit was making an appearance at the Grammy’s after years of being MIA, I was excited. Until this:

All of the glitter, sequins and metallics had me thinking Star Trek the whole time! On the plus side, there were interesting necklines, beautiful hair and makeup and Lady Gaga’s creations (cannot call them outfits!) that made the red carpet worth watching.
