An Easy Way to Wear the Military Trend: Grab A Surplus Jacket

October 7th // Comment Here

Renee Zellwegger was spotted running errands in Santa Monica, California earlier this week in what looks to be a fall must-have item. If you like what you see, don’t feel intimidated because military-inspired pieces are super easy to incorporate into your wardrobe: rugged boots, a pair of cargo pants or a comfy, surplus jacket (just like Renee’s):

You can also steal her look on the cheap! Target’s Mossimo Military Jacket is only $27.99:

Best Workout Inspiration? Renee Zellwegger.

April 13th // 3 Comments

A new study at Harvard shows that middle-aged women have to exercise an hour a day to keep from gaining weight as they get older. (The recommended 20 minutes of exercise a day offers cardiovascular benefits, but won’t stop those numbers on the scales from creeping up) Brisk walking and yoga count; so do swimming, dancing and tennis. So how to get inspired? Some things that works for me:

  • investing in some new, flattering workout clothes that I look forward to putting on in the morning – Athleta has cool and affordable options to suit every body shape
  • enlisting a friend as a workout partner
  • using some caffeine, like Renee Zellwegger, to jolt me off the sofa!

Please share your exercise tips! How do YOU motivate yourself? I almost always see candids of Renee wearing her workout clothes… maybe that’s the key? If I wear my yoga outfit all day, then I’ll have to find the time to go at some point, right?

Lots of love,

Loren

Yay or Nay? Renee Zellwegger Rocking the Bubble Sleeve

February 26th // 2 Comments

I freaked out when I saw this picture of Renee Zellwegger at the Berlin film festival – it’s the same fitted sheath that we’re used to seeing on her, but the sleeves channel a Renaissance princess and somehow take the whole effect to an edgier new place. The trick to pulling off a bubble sleeve is to keep the rest of your outfit quite simple: by virtue of their shape, the sleeves have a lot going on.

So, the bell sleeve: pro or con?
