The bow tie has been revived and seen on male celebrities like Kanye West and David Beckham, styled to become part of day to day wear. The bow tie is no longer exclusively for weddings, prom or black tie affairs, however, I still do love the bow tie look for big events. Check out this photo of Kanye and get inspired to make a statement by pairing a bow tie with jeans or slacks.

What I love about knit caps are that they come in so many different styles and are easy to wear from season to season. Here is Rachel Bilson, who always looks stylish, in a knit cap paired with a dress and jacket. Rachel’s has an edgy twist on the original French beret.

It’s the jewel-tone dresses that are really killing me: Gorgeous shapes in rich shades like amethyst, ruby, sapphire blue and emerald. Add a smoky eye and some gorgeous heels and you’ll instantly feel festive. Here is a photo of supermodel Claudia Schiffer – you can use her Alberta Ferretti dress as inspiration!

Consider women’s oxfords: a little Bob Fosse, a little British tomboy, and wildly of the moment. Even Kate Moss has been spotted wearing this jazzy lace-up style. Here’s the look on actress Kristen Stewart (who, in case you’ve been living on planet Oblivion, is about to appear in the highly anticipated Twilight sequel, New Moon). Such a chic alternative to ballet flats and sneakers, no?

What do you think of bow-front blouses and dresses? Do you find them perfectly flirty and feminine? (In which case you should check out the cool options at Saks Fifth Avenue and Net-a-Porter.com asap.) Or do they make even the foxiest girl look like Jane Fonda in 9 to 5? Here’s gorgeous actress Leighton Meester wearing Prabal Gurung this week to help you decide!
