Black & White at the 2013 amfAR New York Gala

It was a black and white sort of night at the amfAR Gala, where celebrities come out to support the biggest names in fashion, art and entertainment whom have benefited AIDS research.

The modeling industry’s finest kicked off New York Fashion Week‘s party schedule with the likes of Karlie Kloss, Heidi Klum and Christine Teigen wearing sexy shades of black or white. And always the fashion risk taker, actress Chloe Sevigny arrived in a little bit of both.

Inauguration 2013: What the First Family Wore

We are two hours away from watching President Barack Obama take on his second term in the White House – while we wait, lets talk fashion!

First Lady Michelle Obama has become a style icon over the last four years and made a huge splash this weekend after she debuted a new hairstyle with fabulous bangs. For today’s historic inauguration, the always-chic FLOTUS chose a custom Thom Browne coat and dress made of silk jacquard, Reed Krakoff cardigan and necklace by Cathy Waterman. She finished off the look with a J. Crew belt and shoes.

The couple’s two daughters Malia and Sasha are as fashion-forward as their mother, choosing brightly-colored coats by J. Crew and Kate Spade with matching, color-coordinated tights.

Jessica Biel’s Sundance Style (for less!)

Something I really love about the Sundance Film Festival is that we all get a closer look at a celebrity’s more casual style – it is way too cold for the usual red carpet we see at the majority of events. One actress that always keeps it chic no matter the temperature is Jessica Biel, who is at Sundance this year to promote her new film Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes.

I can’t remember the last time I loved so many dresses on the red carpet during an awards show! While there were definitely a few flubs, dozens of stars literally sparkled while they attended the 2013 Golden Globes yesterday. In addition to some embellishment, wedding-worthy nude gowns, show-stopping red and sexy sheer were recurring trends I spotted while watching E!’s red carpet pre-show (who tuned in and tweeted with me??)

The singer decided to break out of her red carpet rut for 2013! While Taylor Swift always looks beautiful, the last few years have been filled with sparkly, princess dresses and last night she pulled a 180.

Taylor appeared effortlessly cool and chic at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards wearing a plunging white gown by Ralph Lauren, Christian Louboutin heels and Sutra earrings. Her hair and makeup definitely had a smoldering, edgy twist; the 23-year-old’s sexy makeover came just days after her split from former beau and One Direction singer Harry Styles.
