Alicia Keys’ Keep A Child Alive Black Ball

Alicia Keys held the annual Black Ball for her charity Keep A Child Alive at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC last night. Alicia Keys is one of my closest friends and Keep A Child Alive is such an incredible charity; Keep A Child Alive is dedicated to providing life-saving treatment, care, nutrition, support services and love to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. Our daughter Amber and her fiance Duane came with JR and I to the Black Ball. I wore a new favorite to the gala – floor length Jean Paul Gaultier – and Am looked so beautiful in red Moschino. That Moschino dress is one of my favorites on her!

Lifetime’s Five Maya Brenner Breast Cancer Necklace

Today is the last day of breast cancer awareness month and I wanted to spotlight a special way to contribute. Mompreneur Maya Brenner designed a custom necklace for Five, the Lifetime anthology comprised of five short films that document the impact of breast cancer on people’s lives. Five was directed by Hollywood’s elite: Jennifer Aniston, Alicia Keys, Demi Moore, Patty Jenkins and Penelope Spheeris. Help fight breast cancer with Maya Brenner’s custom Five necklace; $50 from each purchase is donated to the National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund.

I look forward to NYC’s Angel Ball each year the gala is a great way to get the word out about one of my favorite non-profit organizations, Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research. The Angel Ball honors individuals who have made significant humanitarian and philanthropic contributions in support of cancer research and my family and I have been in attendance the last few years. E! News’ Giuliana Rancic diagnosed with breast cancer

I tune in to Giuliana Rancic on E! News whenever I can and always love watching her red carpet interviews or host an episode of Fashion Police. I was deeply saddened to see Giuliana announce on the TODAY show this morning that she was diagnosed with the early stages of breast cancer. Please keep our fellow fashionista in your thoughts and prayers as Giuliana will be undergoing surgery this week and subsequent radiation.
