The 2012 Critics’ Choice Awards gave really good red carpet – you can see more CCMA photos here – and there was one trend that appeared last night at The Hollywood Palladium. Yellow! This bright and sunny color looked gorgeous on three blonde actresses: Elizabeth Olsen in Emilio Pucci, Diane Kruger in Prada and Elle Fanning in Rodarte.
While all three donned yellow, Elle Fanning’s flowery Rodarte number is a miss for me this time around. What do you think?
It’s that time of year! My favorite magazine Ocean Drive held their 18th anniversary party this week at the new JW Marriott Marquis in Miami, hosted by Enrique Iglesias. Of course JR and I went out to celebrate and support our dear friend Jason Binn! We had the best time and I felt amazing in my outfit (don’t you love when that happens?) - Loren Jewels, shoes by Ruthie Davis and an Emilio Pucci black minidress:

Pucci is a classic. But as is the case with all classics, they need a facelift every so often. And Pucci’s facelift was orchestrated by designer Peter Dundas, who’s only in his third season at the helm of this Italian stalwart, but in that short time has managed to take the typically beachy collection to a place it’s never been before: the world of dark and sultry. There was a definite homage to the house’s reputation for prints—which you can see in this slinky long dress—but there were more than a few sexy lace cocktail dresses with hemlines that reached scandalous heights and broached new territory for the line. I loved it!
