It was all psychedelic rockstar meets Parisian chic on the runway at yesterday’s Anna Sui Fall 2013 show. Supermodel Karlie Kloss opened with an energetic dance, which reflected the sheer happiness of these clothes. It’s impossible not to feel confident when looking at these incredible print combinations and retro silhouettes. While the color palette definitely reached rainbow status, I wanted to focus on my pink, purple and red favorites in honor of Valentine’s Day See some of the best looks from Anna Sui during New York Fashion Week below!

Valentine’s Day or not, would you ever wear these bright prints and bold colors together?

As British Vogue called this particular show on Twitter yesterday, Tommy Hilfiger put on the “prep parade” and did it (very) well for Fall 2013. The designer himself described the new collection as  ”Savile Row meets Ivy League” with lots of tartan, houndstooth, shearling and knits. Think classic pieces like the turtleneck mixed with modern details like leather. I love it.

But Tommy Hilfiger‘s outerwear for Fall 2013 was the star of the show; coats that have impeccable tailoring will make it easy to take the “classic sartorial tradition, re-schooled in All-American prep” line from the runway to real life.

I love that so many spring trends are carrying on into fall 2013 – the best way to wear them through every season! Charlotte Ronson’s Fall 2013 take on statement collars, sheer mesh, dark florals and leather was the perfect storm of schoolgirl meets sportswear. The mini-catwalk and woodsy background during the designer’s presentation yesterday for New York Fashion Week was charming and similar to the models at Kate Spade, hair and makeup added a touch of retro to the overall theme. I am loving the fresh faces, eye makeup and low ponytails we’ve been spotting so far! Are you?

NYFW Fall 2013: Charlotte Ronson Presentation

Kate Spade kicked off Fashion Week today with an impressive Fall 2013 presentation, complete with shimmery metallics, black and whites, red and pinks, oversized clutches and bows galore! The cheeky details (taxi flats? so unique), statement outerwear and feminine silhouettes with peplum, pleats and full skirts completed the retro theme.

And can you believe Kate Spade New York is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary? No other brand has truly been able to successfully mix the uptown glamour and downtown cool of NYC while still incorporating its signature whimsical touches.
