Balenciaga is a household name for handbag lovers, especially after their City satchel was seen on every stylish celebrity just a few years ago. But Balenciaga isn’t all about accessories. Balenciaga’s spring 2013 collection just debuted this morning at Paris Fashion Week and it’s one of my favorites yet. Somehow the fashion powerhouse made numerous trends work together: sexy shapewear as outerwear, box tops, oversized coats, black and white, flamenco skirts and of course, their signature menswear inspired elements.
I can’t wait to see stars like Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson rock these looks at the red carpet! A perfect match. What do you think of their Balenciaga’s spring line? Love it or hate it?

Karl Lagerfeld delivered a flawless Fendi show in Milan last week – a fresh take on graphic fashion with so many architectural elements, I discover something new each time I review the collection. A retro color palette with touches of sparkle thrown in was updated by a smattering of pyramid studded shoes, cube shaped clutches and voluminous jackets and skirts.
Geometric patterns have been spotted all over the runway but no one does it quite like Lagerfeld. A fun line for spring 2013 that is certainly a departure from the iconic Fendi logo we used to think of. Bold and just a little bit quirky, I love this color blocked collection! Do you?

The runway shows hit Milan today so I wanted to recap the best bags from London Fashion Week for spring 2013! If there’s one trend you take away for next season, it is to start matching your bag to your outfit! Such a chic, monochromatic look. My must-haves for spring 2013? Mulberry’s oversized envelope, Roksanda Illincic jewel tone clutch, JW Anderson’s quilted bag with ruffles and Burberry’s see-through structured satchel.

Being in London during London Fashion Week has been a completely different experience for me since we are usually in New York! I love seeing how the top trends vary from city to city and how it ultimately inspires my look for the upcoming season. I don’t wear a lot of mixed prints but the London Fashion Week runway looks at Topshop Unique, Preen, Matthew Williamson, Temperley London and Issa all have me thinking I might change it up for spring 2013! Paisley, floral, kaleidoscope – so many chic prints to chose from!

I think almost every New York Fashion Week I’ve covered on the blog has highlighted a Marchesa collection. Their gowns are impossibly beautiful and deserve to have a post all their own – Marchesa Spring 2013 is no exception. With hints of their very first collection (which was spotted on Renee Zellweger back in 2004 according to Vogue!), Marchesa experimented with subtle Indian influences like embellished saris and and chic shifts over cropped pants.
This exotic, multicultural collection is one of my favorites and is really inspiring to me since I just came back from a family vacation to Thailand. What do you think of Marchesa Spring 2013?
