NYFW Fall 2013: Charlotte Ronson Presentation

I love that so many spring trends are carrying on into fall 2013 – the best way to wear them through every season! Charlotte Ronson’s Fall 2013 take on statement collars, sheer mesh, dark florals and leather was the perfect storm of schoolgirl meets sportswear. The mini-catwalk and woodsy background during the designer’s presentation yesterday for New York Fashion Week was charming and similar to the models at Kate Spade, hair and makeup added a touch of retro to the overall theme. I am loving the fresh faces, eye makeup and low ponytails we’ve been spotting so far! Are you?

Kendall X Kylie Jenner for PacSun Available Now!

Kendall and Kylie Jenner flew in to the Big Apple yesterday to officially launch their Kendall & Kylie for PacSun Collection during New York Fashion Week! The girls are super excited, saying “We’ve done everything. We always wanted to do a line and when we did a line we wanted it to be California based, so PacSun, we feel is just a perfect fit.”

The Kendall & Kylie for PacSun Collection has been dubbed ”casual-yet-chic sensibility” by the brand and is “distinctly inspired by the diversity, optimism and creativity of the Golden State.”

The half-sisters of Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian are no strangers to the fashion world; the 17 and 15 year olds are interns at Seventeen magazine and have been modeling for years. A clothing line is such an exciting thing for them to add to their resume.

NYFW Fall 2013: Kate Spade New York Presentation

Kate Spade kicked off Fashion Week today with an impressive Fall 2013 presentation, complete with shimmery metallics, black and whites, red and pinks, oversized clutches and bows galore! The cheeky details (taxi flats? so unique), statement outerwear and feminine silhouettes with peplum, pleats and full skirts completed the retro theme.

And can you believe Kate Spade New York is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary? No other brand has truly been able to successfully mix the uptown glamour and downtown cool of NYC while still incorporating its signature whimsical touches.

Designer Details: Beyonce’s Super Bowl Halftime Look

Whatever your thoughts on Queen Bey’s Super Bowl XLVII halftime performance, you have to admit that the costume was fierce! Along with her stylist Ty Hunter (whom I absolutely adore and have worked with before), the two sat down with designer Rubin Singer to create an all-black leather and lace combination that was strong and sexy.

The superstar’s look, which according to InStyle.com was “inspired by the Valkyries in Norse mythology. The mythical creatures were strong female figures who decided which soldiers lived and died in battle.”

Singer also released a statement about his original sketch – shown below! – “a woman with power, focus, and unbridled sexuality; not unlike Ms. Knowles herself, was the starting point.”

Who cares if you don’t have a date on Valentine’s Day because trust me, you’ll be too busy falling in love with this new capsule collection to notice. An entire line on clothing, shoes and accessories “inspired by love,” Prabal Gurung for Target hits stores and target.com on February 10th.

A red carpet favorite among many celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Zoe Saldana, Prabal Gurung‘s collaboration with Target for spring 2013 just might be their biggest hit since Missoni. I love the mix of feminine prints and fabrics with modern and edgy silhouettes – check out the behind the scenes video below with the designer himself.
