Thanksgiving Prep

As we begin to prepare for Thanksgiving, I have to ask you: What’s the serving piece you use most? I’ve done an informal poll around here and what I’ve heard so far is a silver bread tray, a casserole dish with glass lid, a slotted spoon and a soup tureen. Even if you’re not cooking this year, these items make great hostess gifts – and you can find steals on all of them at Wal-Mart.com (check out their great Paula Deen line), Sur La Table, Macy’s and Meijer.

Rachel Zoe, Minus Taylor

I am such a huge fan of the reality show The Rachel Zoe Project and I just found out that Taylor Jacobson, Zoe’s right hand, has decided to leave the team. Taylor was so much fun to watch on the show, and didn’t she just get a promotion at the end of the season from styling to overseeing Zoe’s new merchandise line? Well, she took to her Twitter to announce the news:

“Today is an end of an era and a beginning of a new professional chapter. Looking forward to what the future brings…!!!” (12:56 PM Nov 6th)

Hopefully, Bravo will pick up the show for a third season and we can watch the story unfold. That’s bananas!

New Designer- Prabal Gurung

The super talented designer Prabal Gurung has in a short time taken the fashion world by storm. Even though this is only Gurung’s second collection he has dressed Hollywood movie stars, like Zoe Saldana.  Even better, Leighton Meester, Thandie Newton and Demi Moore have already worn his creations on the red carpet – all in the same week!

View the gorgeousness that is Gurung’s Spring 2010 collection here. The bows, ruffles and draping details make these dresses look ultra chic and feminine. Here are some of my favorite red carpet looks by the designer:
