Many of you have written in asking for information on the latest fall trends, and rightfully so! With the end of summer just a few weeks away, we’ll be talking about gloves, Halloween and hot chocolate before you know it :) After pouring over the new September issues and chatting with a few of my industry friends, here’s a list of the top 10 trends you should try out during the upcoming season!

Who else is excited to see the Elizabeth Gilbert bestseller Eat Pray Love on the big screen? I think Julia Roberts is going to do an amazing job in the lead role – and I also think her laid back style in the film will launch huge trends come August 13th when it hits theaters!
To tide you over until then, check out HSN’s Eat Pray Love collection on August 6-8, which will “feature some of your favorite brands showcasing new discoveries in the spirit of the countries and characters.”
You can expect over 400 fashion and home items inspired by Gilbert’s exploration of Italy, India and Bali over the 72-hour shopping experience.

Last night in Los Angeles the ESPY Awards were in full swing, with a red carpet filled with celebrities, Olympians, pro athletes, retired players, models and everyone in between. If you didn’t get a chance to watch, here’s a quick roundup of fashion highlights from the event:

Did you happen to catch the BET Awards last night? The red carpet was filled with celebrities dressed in a variety of styles – for example, here’s a dressed up Nick Cannon and a casual P. Diddy:
These two ladies get my best dressed vote… I couldn’t choose between them! This red gown looked stunning on Ashanti, and Ciara snagged this Balmain number straight off the runway:
After my best dressed picks, you all know what’s coming :) Brittany Daniel’s inappropriate black gown gets my vote for worst dressed, with Jada Pinkett Smith in a close second.
If only Jada’s romper actually had shorts, or was a skirt, this outfit would have looked fierce! However, I do love her blazer.

Nothing compares to this fashion accessory –> jewelry. Jewelry can change your outfit from feminine to bohemian to menswear chic in an instant – and that’s what I love about it. It is much easier to buy a basic piece and simply dress it up with pretty earrings, a cocktail ring or a statement necklace. Do you keep a couple of emergency beauty items at your office? I absolutely do. If you open my top desk drawer, you’ll find all sorts of items like Band-Aids, pain relievers, floss and even a lint brush! If addition to those not-so-exciting basics, I also keep some of these handy little things around, just in case…
I need to pump up the (lash) volume or control any excess oil:
My hair needs a pick-me-up or I get a hangnail:
I want to smooth and plump my lips or add a sunkissed glow:
If nothing else, having these things on hand at the office certainly keeps my purse a little lighter :)
