America has fallen in love with curvy girl Christina Hendricks – and with her sexy, retro style – ever since she signed on to play Joan Holloway in the AMC hit series Mad Men. Here she is on the red carpet for the season four premiere of the show on Tuesday, wearing a high neck, black lace mini from Dolce & Gabbana:

Black + lace looks great on just about everyone, and her choice of an emerald cocktail ring is the perfect pop of color (along with her gorgeous red hair!). Check out how you can get a Dolce & Gabbana look-a-like, for less:

Shopbop, Nightcap Clothing Victorian Lace Dress $231
Are you a fan of the show?

After her concert in Los Angeles last night, Rihanna was on her way to Drai’s nightclub wearing this polka dot number. I’m not sure how I feel about jumpsuits as clubbing attire (especially one that resembles a clown costume).

Kudos to her for taking a fashion risk, though.
What do you think? Would you give Rihanna’s jumpsuit a try?
Love,
Loren
Some people refuse to give crochet pieces a chance because they remind them of their grandmother, or a doily. I disagree. Crochet can be sexy – and if worn with the right accessories – can mentally transport you onto a tropical vacation!
From Bloomingdale’s:

(left) Diane von Furstenberg Zenya Crochet Maxi Dress $243.75
(right) Tory Burch Rattan Clutch $192.50
From Target:

(left) Crochet Cardigan $17.99
(right) Five Row Beaded Bib Necklace $29.99
Plus, it’s breathable (great option if you’re dealing with a heat wave in your area)!
Love,
Loren
Get the look for less doesn’t only apply to clothes – it applies to jewelry, as well! If you have always marveled over the engagement rings of ladies like Jennifer Hudson and Nicole Richie, then you’re in luck :) Neil Lane has partnered with Kay Jewelers to create a bridal collection that mirrors his celebrity designs… just without the hefty price tag.

There are 36 pieces available now and they retail between $2,500 and $8,000 (which is quite a discount from $100,000!)
Stunning!

Who else is excited to see the Elizabeth Gilbert bestseller Eat Pray Love on the big screen? I think Julia Roberts is going to do an amazing job in the lead role – and I also think her laid back style in the film will launch huge trends come August 13th when it hits theaters!
To tide you over until then, check out HSN’s Eat Pray Love collection on August 6-8, which will “feature some of your favorite brands showcasing new discoveries in the spirit of the countries and characters.”

You can expect over 400 fashion and home items inspired by Gilbert’s exploration of Italy, India and Bali over the 72-hour shopping experience.
Have you read the book? Will you see the movie?
Lots of love,
Loren

Paint splatter can look chic if not overdone and add an interesting detail to something otherwise simple. These plates are my favorite example – the speckles practically bounce off the ceramic base color and give them a summery garden feel:

Anthropologie Springy Dinnerware $10-14
Moving on to clothing, splatter looks best on denim if done in bleach as it is more subtle and distressed. However, on a men’s tee, the more visible the splatter the edgier the shirt will look:

(left) Piperlime, J Brand Paint Splatter Pencil Jeans $76.97
(right) Macy’s, Buffalo Jeans T Shirt NYQ V Neck $49
Best part about this trend? It can be your new DIY project, should have a creative urge :)

The lovely Jennifer Garner, mom to Violet and Seraphina, is rarely photographed without her beautiful girls in tow. Lately it seems like Violet wants to be just like mommy, and is dressing accordingly! Here they are in New York City last week, outfitted in matching stripes and matching pink sundresses:

Proof that certain trends look great on girls of all ages :)
Love,
Loren
