Wearing a belt of any kind is going to show off your waist. While I am a huge fan of rockin’ tight, big belts… these days I find myself in the mood for a more relaxed look. A super-skinny belt will still cinch at the waist, however you have the option of wearing it close-fitting or loose. I found the perfect “loose” example over on Lucky.com:

Cute, right? I’ve picked out two similar items; one belt is high-end and one in the lower price range:

What do you think?

I’ve been noticing some buzz around a shoe that has been become quite popular with the male population – probably because they are girlfriend-approved and are a very big step up from the usual high top sneaker :) Hence, the mid top! Urban Outfitters has a couple of really great options for you guys that like to keep your ankles under cover. The Fred Perry Tan Byron Suede Mid is my favorite:

Only $90! Classic, no?

In high summer, I love the look of linen, gingham and seersucker – on both guys and gals. It reminds me of a hot day spent on our yacht, or grilling out by the pool for a BBQ. While women can get away with whole outfits dedicated to this trend (think sundresses), men look their best in seersucker details (at least in my opinion!). That’s why I love this tie:

So, what do you think boys? Something you would wear?

Bored with the LBD? Try a LRD, or Little Red Dress. A bright red is perfect for summertime, and if you feel up to it, add a black leather jacket and some leopard print heels for a 10 on the sexy scale :) Nicky Hilton pulled off a very chic red and leopard look last night – read on to get the look for less!

Blazers should be a staple in every man’s closet, however, a heavy, black blazer won’t do you any favors in the summer heat. If you love the look of a jacket, consider giving this lightweight navy one try:

martin + osa

Martin + Osa Maritime Stripe Blazer $150 $79.95

Stonewashed indigo + light pinstripe + neutral color = perfect for any occasion (you can wear it for a casual day at the office or a night out). And it’s machine washable… versatile and convenient!

What woman (early Madonna aside) really wants to show off her underwear? And yet… here’s a way to wear the trend that even your grandmother could approve of. A sheer swiss-dot blouse over a pretty camisole or bandeau top. This kind of airy layering looks super-sophisticated and even better up close. Plus, depending on how you style it, the combo can work equally well for office hours (with an trim A-line or narrow pencil skirt) or cocktail hour (with jeans or slouchy trousers). Love.

The Standard Hotel is truly upping the ante when it comes to hotel boutiques. After last year’s hugely popular artist-designed T-shirt collaboration, they’ve enlisted three more artists to create beautifully printed scarves that represent their respective cities: RoStarr in NYC, Thomas Campbell in L.A. and Jose Parla in Miami. Each design was made in a batch of 100 and features a hand-rolled and hemmed edge.
