The point of splurging on an investment piece is that you can wear it quite often without fear that it will go out of style come next season. This gives you more bang for your buck, right? Kat wrote in letting me know she is in the market for a new ’4 seasons’ purse and would like my suggestions:

When looking for a handbag that will go the distance, here are a few rules I like to follow:

Pick a neutral color

Stay away from trendy adornments (fringe, sequins, etc)

Keep the logo or brand name discreet

Choose one made with luxurious fabric and fine materials that are durable
