As of right now, the largest size available by a high-end designer at Saks Fifth Avenue is a 10. Come fall, that is all about to change! Labels like Chanel, YSL, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen and Fendi will be offering pieces up to a size 14 or possibly a 20.

The downside is that these items will only be available in New York – however, if all goes well you might see plus-size designer duds in Saks‘ all over the country in the future!
What do you think? A step in the right direction?

I love a not-basic wedge heel, especially ones as killer as these. Here’s the debate: I’m either splurging on these Chloe sandals (I figure if I wear them every day this spring and summer, it would work out to less than $5 per wear) or…

Saks Fifth Avenue, Chloe wedge $695
There’s these Michael Kors wedge sandals for $135, which might be even better in the fashion-math department.

MICHAEL Michael Kors Belinda wedge $135
Help! Which do you guys like better?

When you read the title of this post, were you a bit nervous? I sure felt nervous when I started hearing (and seeing) the buzz around these modified turbans! Not a headband, but not really a turban either… I’m thinking it could look pretty cute as a pool or beach hair accessory.
They are all the rage in the blog world right now, so if you’re up for trying this new trend here are some good options to get you started:

Urban Outfitters, Urban Renewal Silky Turban Headwrap $18

Gold Saturn Summer Blues Knit $32

Saks Fifth Avenue, Jennifer Behr Turban Headwrap $162

As we all know, shopping for swimsuits can be somewhat terrifying. (Cindy Crawford has said that even she hates it. REALLY.) So to make the whole experience a zillion times more pleasant, I like to order a bunch of swimsuits online and try them on at home. That way, there’s less pressure, I don’t have to rush to judgment AND I can control the dressing room lighting — hello, dimmer switch! — until I narrow down to the most flattering options.
Here are two I’m seriously considering. Which do you like better?

Net-a-Porter, Milly Anacapri plunge-front swimsuit $180

Spanx Colorblock one-piece $198
Bonus: Swimsuits are so light that returns cost next to nothing!

Black and navy is one of the hottest combos of the moment. Together, the colors look subtly graphic and slightly revolutionary – which is what makes it seriously chic. I love pairing a navy top with a black belt, skirt or pants, or topping a black dress with a deep blue bib necklace. It’s fun and chic without being too out-there.

Saks Fifth Avenue, Black Halo Cee Cee Two-Tone Dress $206.99 (orig. $345)
Have you tried this combo yet?

Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock, the ladies behind Vena Cava, certainly won’t be the first indie designers to launch a lower-priced (but by no means cheap) diffusion T-shirt line (ahem, Alexander Wang) when Viva Cava hits stores in July. But it’s not in either girl’s nature to take the path most traveled, so the trailblazers are changing things up.
Instead of sticking with safety neutrals, Buhai and Mayock are injecting their signature bold prints onto a mixture of jersey and organic tees in various cuts. The line retails for $200 and under and will be carried in stores like La Garconne, Shopbop, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Sharp laser cutouts make these ballet flats and booties feel totally new. I can’t get over how cool the perforated booties are. They’re from House of Harlow 1960, designed by Nicole Richie.

Saks Fifth Avenue, House of Harlow 1960 Ankle Boots $225

Piperlime, Belle by Sigerson Morrison $220

American Eagle AE cutout flat $29.50
