10 Minutes to Better Skin (Seriously)

October 1st // 4 Comments

I tell my girlfriends all the time—and pretty much anyone else that will listen—the secret to great skin is as much about what you do at night, as it is during the day. So give your skin that little extra attention before bed with a new routine. Here, a daily guide to getting noticeably better skin in less than 10 minutes a day.

Sunday: Start your week off with a Cellular Laboratories Face-Lifting Masque. Wash your face first with Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Cleansing Emulsion, then apply the purifying sheet directly to your skin. Leave the masque on for 10 minutes. You will feel it start to slightly harden right before it’s ready for removal. Dispose of the sheet after use. You will notice softer, brighter skin right away.

Monday: Cleanse skin with Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Cleansing Emulsion. Pat face dry, then immediately apply a finger-sized amount of Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Eye Cream to your eyes and Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Cream to your face and neck. You want to apply both creams while your skin is freshly washed, so the product is allowed to sink in.

Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Cream, $89.95

Tuesday: Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Cleansing Emulsion + Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Eye Cream + Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Cream (see Monday for instructions.)

Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Eye Cream, $59.95

Wednesday: Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Cleansing Emulsion + Cellular Laboratories Face-Lifting Masque (see Sunday for instructions.)

Thursday: Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Cleansing Emulsion + Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Eye Cream + Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Cream (see Monday for instructions.)

Beauty Tips – Overnight Miracles

September 15th // 1 Comment

I think if you try this you will agree with me. Before going to bed one night I decided to give Motives De-Aging mask a try. Having tried so many products I was anxious to see if I would notice results right away. The application is simple and I loved that there is no mess. Each mask comes in its individual package. You simply peel out the mask and place it over your face, and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Right after I peeled off the mask I felt a tingly feeling, it energized my skin instantly. The next day I saw that my fine lines had faded.
This mask really worked. It is never too early to start preventing from the signs of aging. If you are in your late 20’ this mask will help you prevent wrinkles, keep elasticity and hydrate your skin with nutrients to help you keep your skin young. And if you already are showing signs of aging, this mask will help reverse those signs and make your skin feel and look younger.

Beauty Tips – Beachy Summer Hair Without Ever Stepping Foot in the Ocean

July 23rd // Comment Here

My current summer hair inspiration came from a pretty unexpected source—at least as far as hair is concerned. Victoria’s Secret’s current spread of models not only have totally rocking bodies, but they’re sporting some pretty great hair too—like they all went swimming and then let their hair air dry with all the saltiness of the sea still intact. The good news is, you don’t actually have to step foot in the ocean to get the same effect. You just need these products, and a little patience.

Step 1: If you’re starting with freshly washed hair, spritz Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray all over. Gently lift hair while you’re spraying to get directly at the roots, but be careful not to use too much product. About 5 pumps is enough for your whole head. Scrunch and twist small sections of your hair often.

Step 2: Let hair air dry for as long as possible. When you think you’re five minutes from a fully dry head, twist hair into a loose bun high on your head and place the Conair Euro-Style Diffuser over it. Don’t worry if the hair comes loose once you set it in the diffuser, you actually want the bun to start out tight while it’s wet and loosen up as it dries.

Step 3: Once hair is fully dry, lightly spritz 2-3 pumps of Tigi-S Chic Shine Spray over your whole head. This will add just a bit of shine to your end results. Tousle and scrunch hair until you get the desired Victoria’s-Secret-sexy-messy finish.

Step 4: I mentioned patience above, and here’s where that comes in. This look is actually better the second day! So don’t wake about and start all over again, instead empty a quarter-sized pile of Lulu Organics Hair Powder into your palm. Rub together, and quickly apply at the roots or wherever you feel there might be a little oily buildup. Really work the powder in until you don’t see any white left. Give hair a quick hit with the diffuser to work out any bed head kinks and then give a final shine-boosting spritz.

There you have it: 48 hours of good hair, half-an-hour of work.

Conair Euro-style diffuser, $6.99 available at J&R.com
Tigi S-Factor Chic Shine Hair Spray - 8.4 Oz.
