Here’s an easy way to get edgy eye-makeup to complement all the rocker chic, leather-clad looks I’ve been blogging about lately!
Here’s What You will need:
-a sharpened medium grey pencil eyeliner (May I suggest Motives Kohl Eyeliner in Steel?)
-a matte medium grey powder eyeshadow (I like Motives pressed eyeshadow in Steel or Gun Metal for a more dramatic, evening look).
Technique:
1. Gently stroke the grey eyeliner pencil along your upper lid getting as close as possible to your lashline. You can vary the edginess of the look by extending the line out as far or as short as you wish.
2. With your Motives eyeliner brush, apply the eyeshadow powder in a line along your lower lashline, again getting as close as possible. Blend the product on both top and bottom lids into your lashline using your eye definer brush.
4. Curl your lashes and add two coats of Lustrafy mascara.
Not investing in quality makeup brushes is like cheating yourself out of a flawless, fabulous, finished look.

Some people might want to lose some of the plump in their pout. Here are some great tips to help deflate the pout in your lips and provide your lips with another completely different look! Be bold and don’t be afraid to try something different with your look!
To make lips look fuller:
Apply a lip gloss to the middle of the bottom lip. This brings them out, making them appear larger. Also use a lighter shade, bringing light to the lips.
To make lips look thinner:
Use a darker shade when choosing colors. Deeper shades cause the lips to look smaller. Also, steer clear of shiny glosses. Use Matte shades to ensure you are not bringing attention to the size you are trying to diminish

For many busy women who have a life after the sun goes down, transforming the make-up can be a pain. Follow these tips to help tarnsform yourself from busy career woman, to late night diva!
1. Highlight around your definition points on the face. Ex. cheekbones, forehead, nose. I like the Motives® Loose Mineral Shimmer Powder “Gold Dust” or the highlighting color quad in “You Glow Girl”. This will put a light shimmer to add that extra elegant touch.
2. Apply a dark shade of eyeshadow to the back corner of the lid into the crease of each eye. (My choice would be the Motives South Hampton shade for the super smoky look).
3. Use the same shade of dark or black eyeshadow to create a more dramatic line around the eye and you can smudge this to create a sultry appearance. (depending on your prefered look, I would either stick with the “South Hampton” shade, or darken it up a bit with either dark denim or a Motives’ gel eye liner in “Rockstar” or “Little Black Dress”.)
4. Attempt to deepen your lipstick from the day. You can achieve this by applying a lip liner that is a shade or two darker than your daily. Mix well. Finish off the lip look with a super shiny gloss. The gloss will make you stand out in a crowd!

Doing any job is much easier when you have the necessary tools. This same tips applies to plucking your eyebrows or even detailing that mustache, guys! By purchasing a quality set of tweezers, it makes the job much easier and the results much better. As far as tweezers go, I would recommend the Tweezerman tweezers. Learn how to tweeze your eyebrows the right way after the jump.
With tweezers in-hand, here’s a great way to help frame your face…the right way!
First, you need two pairs (a pointed tip for drawing and a slanted tip for cleaning). First, make sure you pluck your eyebrows or other areas during the daytime. Trying to get that exact hair takes patience and time. To make things a bit easier, I also suggest using a smaller mirror — next to a window, so that you get the most light possible.
Secondly, grab the slant tweezers and start from the inner eye (do not pluck these though, because they are the beginning of your eyebrow) and run along the bottom of the brow. To best determine the shape of your eyebrow, follow the shape of your cheekbone.
Once you have finished the bottom, follow the same line you started with and continue upwards, making a natural curve. This is where you should switch to the pointed tip tweezers. Remember to pluck one hair at a time too.
As you pluck, remember this takes. Moving towards the outer part of the eye, grab the note that you should never tweeze the top of your brows.
If this is your first time tweezing, use a pencil to to shade in the missing or overplucked areas.
