Kim Kardashian looked so pretty while at a wedding cake tasting at Hansen Cakes in Los Angeles yesterday. You don’t often see Kim in polka dots but I love the feminine print and retro fit on her! So excited for Kim and Kris to tie the knot next month!
I’ve always loved the way these sloped-shoulder blouses look, but have avoided them because I think they often do bad things for your upper body. I tried one on once and it literally made me look five pounds heavier. But leave it to Maggie Gyllenhaal to uncover the simple secret to making these tops actually flattering!
The secret is… a belt.
By carving out her waist, she gets away with all that volume on top. And straight-leg jeans keep her bottom half totally streamlined. Here are the pieces you need to give this western, vintage-inspired look a go at home.

Bluefly, Ali Ro silk floral blouse $119.99

Urban Outfitters, Kimchi stretch belt $20

6PM Dingo Burnished Alpaca Boots $77

Gap Real Straight medium wash jeans $59.50

Motives Rich Formula Lipstick in Go Red $14

I freaked out when I saw this picture of Renee Zellwegger at the Berlin film festival – it’s the same fitted sheath that we’re used to seeing on her, but the sleeves channel a Renaissance princess and somehow take the whole effect to an edgier new place. The trick to pulling off a bubble sleeve is to keep the rest of your outfit quite simple: by virtue of their shape, the sleeves have a lot going on.

So, the bell sleeve: pro or con?

The 80′s are back in full force this season – leggings in every color, texture and print you can possibly imagine. The newest is called a liquid legging, getting the name for its shiny texture and painted-on look. Check out the celebs below and notice how they work for day or evening. Pair with a tunic for day or a lace top and blazer for a night out. And the best accessory to pair with these liquid leggings? Black heels to elongate your legs.
