Steal This Look: Amanda Seyfried’s Gorgeous Shimmery Gray & Mauve Eyes

February 22nd // Comment Here

It takes only one of these soft eye-shadow tones to upgrade your makeup, but as actress Amanda Seyfried showed at the Dear John premiere, they can look even prettier together. I like the pairing of luminous mauve and gunmetal shades on her lids: It’s such a great, unexpected alternative to classic brown, and makes blue eyes look even brighter.

The surprisingly fast, easy way to copy Jessica Simpson’s smoky eye makeup

October 15th // 1 Comment

It’s 2-minute simple: Just take a dark, smudgy eye pencil and trace it along in the inner rims of your eye, top and bottom. Blink hard a few times and repeat the process. Then trace around your lash line, top and bottom again, with a slightly shimmery gray shadow. (I like our own Motives Pressed Eye Shadow in Gun Metal). Blend the edges a bit with a Q-Tip — then curl your lashes and add mascara and you’re set.

I especially love this look for evening — so sophisticated and gorgeous. Have any of you tried my good friend, Jessica’s fragrances (available at FragranceNet.com), by the way? Not surprisingly, they’re gorgeous and breezy, just like her.
