Black? Khaki? I know, it sounds like a color combo more suited for the office. But I promise that if you put a little thought into it, you can make it work! Here are my three tips for pulling off this look:

  1. Choose a solid black dress that you would not wear to work. Something with a sexy detail, like this off-the-shoulder mini from Moxie (for $35!)
  2. Pair with a military-style shoe, not a classic nude pump. I’m crazy over these Dries Van Noten black suede and khaki canvas booties
  3. And lastly, add a feminine accessory that can be removed should you get too hot. A textured scarf is a versatile piece to have!
