What’s Your Signature Evening Style? Prints or Solids?

March 11th // 1 Comment

Solid-color dresses ruled at the Academy Awards – just look at Twilight stars Anna Kendrick and Kristen Stewart. I lean towards one color gowns myself, but I couldn’t take my eyes off of Maggie Gyllenhaal’s strapless, Impressionist-print sheath by Dries Van Noten. Just the fact that she wore a print set her apart, and now I feel inspired to step out of the box with my clothing choices next time I go to an event!

Another Addition for the “Plunging Neckline” Debate…

March 9th // 8 Comments

Oscar winner Hilary Swank is known for wearing gowns that plunge in the back – and now, the front. Here she is at the Vanity Fair party on Sunday night, wearing an unexpected, body-baring Armani Prive gown that undoubtedly entailed a lot of double-sided tape.

What’s your take on the dress?

a) Of the moment? b) Over the top? Or c) If you’ve got the body (which Swank clearly does) go for it?

Or would you take the middle ground like Diane Kruger in Chanel Couture?

Demi and Diane looked beautiful (at least in my book), but Vera looked like she was wrapped in a bedskirt! Thoughts?

Fashion Stumper of the Week: At the Bridesmaid Crossroads…

January 16th // 5 Comments

What’s your position on bridal party attire? Should everyone match, dress in a similar shade, or get creative? One idea is to do like my gorgeous model friend Tove – she arranged have a summer wedding in Italy, asked all of her attendants and guests to wear white… and then emerged at the ceremony in a stunning fuchsia designer gown. I pretty much adore this idea, and I have to say, her wedding pictures are fabulous!

Kate Winslet Wins Most Desirable Body – Check Out Her 3 Wardrobe Staples

January 12th // 1 Comment

I love that Kate Winslet just won Glamour magazine’s “Most Desirable Body” poll in Britain. (Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss tied for last place.) Refreshingly, Winslet admits to having a little cellulite and, while she makes it a rule to do Pilates at home for 20 minutes every day, the woman isn’t a slave to the gym. So to celebrate, let’s take a look at three of Kate’s most-trusted wardrobe staples.

Jeans with a slight bootcut:

Tailored, hip-grazing jackets and tops:

And dresses with intriguing necklines and draping:

Accentuating her assets with these wardrobe selections definitely played a major part in her victory. Which woman would get your vote?

Lots of love,

Loren
