The other day, I picked up The Dark Knight on Blu-ray. If you haven’t heard about The Dark Knight starring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne and the late Heath Ledger as the Joker, then you must have been living on another planet. The Dark Knight has been the highest grossing film this year, not to mention the top-selling DVD of 2008 (and it has only been available for just over a week and a half). What was even more interesting about this film is that it contains something called “digital copy.”
Digital copy (which has started appearing on some DVD’s and Blu-ray movies this past year gives you a copy that is suitable for your Apple iPod Touch, iPod Classic, Nano or even your iPhone — as well as other portable media players. It is nice to not have to carry around a sleeve of DVD’s, since everything is then on either my computer or Apple iPod. By the way, The Dark Knight is sure to be one of the hottest stocking stuffers this year! I got my copy at Overstock.com — for $27 shipped — the best price on the net!
Has anyone else used “digital copy” on their Apple iPod Touch or iPod? What do you think about this new form of technology?
