In addition to the spectacular weather we had over the weekend, I took part in the 2009 Women of Substance and Style awards ceremony. It was unbelievable, with over 2,000 people (JR, Amber and Duane included) in attendance! Besides receiving this award (which I was extremely excited about), Bal Harbour Shops was transformed into a complete fantasy show, with dancers, shows and exceptional food!

It was like I was at a concert — where I was one of the performers! While I wasn’t actually performing, The Pointer Sisters and Seal did as well — and they were nothing short of amazing!

In a split second, the holidays were here and then gone. I really hope that everyone had a wonderful New Years Eve ringing in 2009! Marc, Maria, JR and I rang in the new year in the Big Apple, with a few close friends in Paulina Rubio, Alejandro Sanz and Raquel Pereda, as well as Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo along with a few other Dallas Cowboy’s players. As we put 2008 behind us and look forward to a new President of the United States in Barack Obama and a rejuvenated economy, I wanted to take the time to wish everyone a wonderful and prosperous 2009!

On the 20th of November, JR and I hosted Vogue’s signature event, titled Evenings in Vogue at the Gansevoort South Hotel. One thing that is great about living in Miami is the fact that we have great weather year-round! The evening of Evenings in Vogue was no exception, as the weather was fabulous and so were our friends and co-hosts, Jason and Michelle Rubell and Mark and Alison Zhuk. Life with Loren – Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Over the weekend, JR and I had the pleasure of attending the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at the newly renovated Fontainebleau hotel with Kim Kardashian. As you may remember, Kim was the celebrity emcee for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Ball. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was over the top! From the lighting to the show (and who can’t forget the models), it was everything you’d imagine it to be and more! It was also a great place to mingle with so many wonderful and exciting people like New York Yankee, Alex Rodriguez, good friend, Jeff Gordon, Mario Lopez, along with supermodel, Heidi Klum. In addition, Diddy was there, Russell Simmons showed up, and Usher surprised everyone, as he performed! Not only was this a super-limited engagement, but it has to be one of the finest events ever put on! I hope you enjoy the photos from this spectacular event!

Hope you all have been enjoying shopping at Victoria’s Secret! Just wanted to let you all know that I’m feeling much better after my bike accident. Thank you for all of your support.

So I was watching the news the other night with JR when an article came on about Charlie Rose and how he did a face plant to save his laptop. This kind of reminded me of my bike riding experience. What was really great about this article though was that it talked about the amazingly thin new laptop from Apple, the Macbook Air.

If any of you have tried to travel with a laptop, you all know that it is a cumbersome experience. This laptop though, will blow you away. It fits inside of an envelope and still offers you a full-sized keyboard and super-crisp screen, not to mention, it only weighs a few pounds, which is perfect for traveling! Besides being extremely user friendly, it also plays well with the Apple iPhone! This way, when I’m on the go, I don’t have to carry around a heavy laptop plus I can have all of my music and movies (which I also got from Apple iTunes) with me at all times!

For anyone that is in the market for a great laptop, you should consider the Macbook Air. The design is amazing, not to mention, you can save by buying through your web portal and earning IBV on Apple Store and Apple iTunes purchases!
